16 Year Olds Unite!
Ok, I'm 16. Corellion is 16. The new Moses is 16. Adelheid is 16. That new girl named Teddy something is 16.
This is the 16 year old thread. If you are 16, post here, and have free range of speak. Make this a whatever you want thread, but mostly talk about yourself, since you're 16! If you are an older member, or an old fart, post what it was like to be 16 back in the day, or some funny memories, or whatever.
This is the 16 year old thread. Please make it good.

Eurgh. This thread sucks cock long time.
Also, how old is Bearchaser?
No dude. 16 is a good age. Ooooh, let me think.
--I was 16 for a spell in 1999 and the majority of 2000.
--It's the year you leave high school.
--I had lots of friends who I thought would be my buds for life but now I don't talk to a single one of them, not even the ones I'm related to.
--In my social circle 16 was generally the age at which you lost your virginity.
--The albums we were digging at the time were Enema of the State and Dude Ranch by Blink 182 and The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem.
--16 is the age you can start working. I had two jobs in the year I was 16. The first one didn't last very long, my mum got me a job working at the cafe in The Royal Armouries museum but when my mum had a disagreement with the manager I stopped getting shifts. The second job ended up lasting two years (until the place closed down), at the Manston Wacky Warehouse. With my first Wacky Warehouse paycheck I bought seasons 1 & 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on video and spent £20 on ice cream.

Nah. My father's a cunt. Take that as a compliment.
Also, Adelheid's a she, right?
Gawd, to be 16 again!
Actually, I think I was 17 when I jumped the shark but 16 was pretty awesome:
I lost my virginity on a first date when I as 16.
I got AP college credit for classes that were actually easier than the 'regular' classes I tested out of.
I made State jazz band (missed the next year).
Basically, never before or since was I rewarded so richly for doing so little.
I wanna go back!

Good ones! I'll see what I can do before I'm out of the age group.

Nice. My sister and I were listening to a CD from when she was 16, she's 21 now, and it was Now 5! There are about 20 Nows now. Now is a CD series that have top hits on them, they come out every once in a while. What a trip down memory lane. Talking about old music reminded me.

Shoot, forgot bearchaser. This thread is fun! Use it to write down some important teenage angst (sp) things. Look at all these people remembering their pasts. We 16 year olds can use it to document, or just to talk about whatever we want! If the British people can have Right Honourable Waffle, then the 16 year olds get this one. Adelheid is a girl, yes.

I think I smoked away most of my memory's of being 16, which is ironic since I didn't start burning until 2 years later....Fuck I can't remember being 16, I don't know. I remeber everything like one long movie rather than chapters in a book.
I can post in here twice over and still have a year to piss away
When I was 16, I lived in London for a while. And Every night except Sunday and Monday, I went out to clubs like Kitcat, Hippodrome, Camden Palace...I was one of those first generation "gothic punks."
The Catmother of all Worldwide Cats
I think when I was 16 I was running a stolen fgoods operation out of school
we were unoffically called The Wheelin N Dealin Gang
maybe that was 15 tho
When I was 16 I realized how stupid shit I was ealier and that ATB sucks. also I went to high school but It was in the same building as my secondary school.....

I remember when I was 16, it feels pathetic thinking about it.
and we have Nows here too, but I never buy them because they're sooo conformist

I'm too lazy to check wikipedia, but we're probably on Now 249 or something. I bought a Now cassette tape when I was six. It was 43 (I think). I still have it. I like it. It has Morcheeba on it. Their song "Rome Wasn't Built In A Day". I love Morcheeba.
When I was 16 I just wanted to be 21. I fried my brain, ran away, drank too much and did too many things i now regret.
I also remember I wasnt the coolest kid when i was 16, and I got picked on a lot. As soon as I got out of high school I threw a lot of parties. The "cool" kids would show up and Id make them feel like an ass for about an hour with "why were you such a dick?" conversation.
When I was 16 I had a full time job in an adult movie theatre (lied about my age) , an apartment and was carrying a full courseload in junior college, plus I did a lot of speed.
I don't regret it, but I do advise against drug use in general. Not that it messed me up, I just hate how it's glamorized. A lot of friends of mine went down that horrible drug addiction spiral.
When I was sixteen, I was broke as fuck. I considered mugging people for money, or just stealing everything I needed. Unfortunately, a lot of what I needed what behind counters. When I was sixteen, on this very day, I had the last cigarette of a packet with absolutely no way to get another packet. My mother also set fire to our living room. I also doubted whether I could mug anyone.

I forgot about my travel fun thing I was gonna do in the summer. But, now I can do it. Can't I? Because I've no school! Oh this is going to be awesome. Six you're a godess for reminding me! Right, so -
When I was sixteen, I made plans to leave home and travel about completely homeless as soon as I got back from Ireland. It's gonna be fun!
I was eating a lot of acid when i was 16. A Lot

Man I feel old. How old? MC Hammer was cool, I mean, battling with Vanilla Ice. House Party, as I've pined for elsewhere, was funky fresh. It was 1991-1992...sigh. Growing up in Wyoming, freezing my balls off, customizing my Datsun 210 as much as possible on aMCDonald's budget...trying to get as much nookie as possible in my time off form school and work... those were the days.
But in reality, I'm kind of liking these days better. Married. A wife who supports my writing. I live in LA, so that sucks. But soon, it will be back to Chicago...
all i remember from being 16 was when i tried "macking it" and i was trying to be cool by moshing without my shirt to get into this girls pants, she was all making out with me and shit untill i went into the pit, i thought shit i felt her titty and she grabbed my wang, were cool. meanwhile she stole my shirt and dissapeared i had to walk through the snow without a shirt for 3 blocks to meet my ride, got sick as hell and missed two weeks of work.
oh god i said macking it

Cheyenne. Home of Frontier Days and... not much else. Then it was off to college in Laramie, just in time for the Matthew Shepard murder. Happened about half a mile from my apartment...
There are things I miss about WY... clean air, low cost of living... but I'm not sure if I could ever move back. Seeing my family is about the only reason to spend time there.
My counselor suggested I live in the woods during the summer

when i was sixteen,
they still made Cape Byron Mudcake Supreme icecream
MoS was still kind of cool
i worked 60hour weeks for less $$ than i get now for a 30hour week
i bought a lot of two-tone shirts
i played a lot of gran turismo2
i shot a lot of people with a nailgun (and got paid for it)
i hadn't been corrupted by sex, drugs and electroclash yet and still had my sweet baby-faced innocence

Yep
When I was 16 I got kicked out of high school and put into an "alternative" high school, which I later got kicked out of. I gave up on life and just sat there, drinking pop after pop in the middle of the night, alone in my room, for months and months and months. I played some videogames, downloaded some music, read some websites...but mostly I'd just sit around and do absolutely fuck all. I cut myself a lot. I refused to meet or talk with any of my friends and I disowned most of my family, including my mother who I put through hell. Then, all the sudden I went camping, and fucked some stupid slut twice in her tent and came all over her sleeping bag. Then I went back to my tent, and when she followed me, I told her I was drunk, really really drunk, and that she should leave my tent immediatly. I laid there for some time. I cried for a few hours. I found God, lost God, and then one day I started writing and after awhile it was like hey, I write a lot. I must be a writer of some sort.
when i was sixteen i started sleeping with staff members at my school.
I turn 16 in a few months... How many people here are younger than 16? :/
christ, do you know what they do to people like us in jail?
16 was a pretty decent age for me. I think 15 was a little better...only because a few more things went better then the following year...but those same events still happened
16 is what--sophomore? junior? year of high school?
Back in those days...
--My life was sports.
--I never pursued women (semi-regret)
--Played video games with friends (semi-regret)
--Had plenty of friends
--was a 'square.'
--worked at Baskin Robbins
I don't think I started really growing up until I was 17. I know, I was a late bloomer.

This is a really good idea.
I'm fifteen, screw all you bastards!
Corellion's sixteen?!
I thought much, much older...
So much hatred for such a youngster...
I'm only a year and some months past sixteen.
Sixteen was when i tried to stop drinking, smoking, sexing, and being a bitch.
Is this a joke, or do I really come across like that?
Do you mean the anger part, or the older part?
He he, I feel so young... Im turning 15 in May. But im in my freshman year in high school, it has been the shittiest part of my life by far. Everyone in all my classes are dicks and run around and say "Im so rich and your a nigger jew bastard so all you people are below me, I am going to lead a genocide against everyone except the white people and i'm gonna lead the KKK." It really pisses me off... And im not sure what its going to be like when i hit 16. But as of now, I am not welcoming it...:indiffere

mmyeah, I'm 16.................not a lot's going on. It's basically the same as all the other years except I'm less smart than I used to be

when I was 16 I keep playing videogames and listening to heavy metal in order to keep my mind off other issues
Wah! This thread brings back some memories. 16 is still rocking for me.

Brentinlouis Wrote: What was that rule about being intentionally annoying?
I still act like I'm 16 pretty much do the same thing, except I don't go to school. Still drink, blow my money on shit I shouldn't, work, be lazy, chicks still hate me, procrasticate. Yep not alot has changed.
