10 Minute Play
My creative writing professor has given me the task of writing a ten-minute play. Students from a creative drama class--who are, by the way, in seventh grade—have been chosen to perform the plays(the children are my puppets, I am the director). Language must be “clean”. Topic must be “appropriate”. The play doesn’t specifically have to be for middle-schoolers, but it shouldn’t be “R” rated. No one person monologues and a limit of five main characters.
I have a few ideas, but I would appreciate suggestions.

like 13 or 14.
Make it about homosexual guilt because the world is full of twats who will give you the sympathy vote because of their own little problems. Just something like a young girl coming to terms with her homosexuality, and her friends talking about boys and stuff. I mean, if you really want to do something good then do something good, but if you just want people to praise you then I've told you what you need to do.

How many characters in the play 3? 10?
I'm thinking of social groups and the tensions between them.
Boy meets girl is always in fashion.
Moral lesson type of stuff - bullies, honesty, decisions about protecting a friends bad behavior.
I suppose date rape, teen pregnancy, cutting oneself, drug use and the holocaust would be off limits.

It looks like you've put a lot of work into it.
you can make something about how people can be lonely even in a room full of people, Like everyone is ocuppied in themselves and there`s no sense of humanity in the world.
One question, Can you do funny stuff?
Go get three 14 yr olds. take em to Starbucks and fill em up caffine and have them talk shit about all the drama in their lives. [COLOR=DarkSlateGray]drop them off at my house. [/COLOR]Then grab 3 more and do the same.[SIZE=1][/SIZE] You'll have tons of relevent material. No one will know where the info came from. Make sure you grab 14 year olds from various schools.[SIZE=1][COLOR=DarkSlateGray]and genders[/COLOR][/SIZE]To ensure diversity and that way Iyou can mix and match stories.

Seventh grade is equal to how old?
