What games are you playing right now?
Pong is now an ancient history.
I always preferred 16bit/32bit era. That's when all my favorite games came out. Modern gaming sucks with all those lame looking-all-the-same shooters. Plus many of my favorite game creators are now gone from the industry or went mad and make craps.

Mega Man's creator retired.
He did? I thought he left Capcom to start doing stuff on his own.

Didn't he say he was sick of making video games or something?
I dunno, I'm not a big fan of his work. I know he runs some kind of blog now but I can't read Japanese so I don't know what he writes there.

Well either way, can't wait for Mega Man Universe. It's like LittleBig Planet meets Mega Man. Creating your own Mega Man levels and bosses is going to be awesome!
Also the cheesy Mega Man from the original game's cover is a playable character.

That, Ryu from Street Fighter, and Arthur from Ghouls and Ghosts.
back to WoW for Cataclysm.

god of war 3. first 10 minutes into the game and my jaw dropped. i will pick up again on saturday, i figured i'd need at least 4-5 solid uninterrupted hours of playthrough to appreciate it.
Playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It is amazing. Everyone should be playing it.
i'm playing through the first one. it's boring and repetitive as fuck.
My brother really liked all of the God of War games. He actually bought his PS3 so he could play God of War 3.
The second one was really good. I'm gonna wait for the price to come down on this and I'm buying it.
I've been playing Black Ops like 90% of the other people out there.
Also playing the new Need for Speed game. I don't even know what it's called. But my aunt got it for me for Christmas. I usually can't get into car games - this one is pretty entertaining though.
Hot Pursuit I think. Heard great things about it. Of course it's entertaining. It's not so much about racing than it is about either evading the police or catching the joyrider.
I picked up Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. I'm really enjoying it.
Also been playing Blur. It's like if Mario Kart and Need for Speed had a baby. It's awesome.

GOW 3 is what got me to buy a PS3 also. Worth every dime too!
In fact, the only other game I've gotten for it since has been Assassin's Creed 1. I love the sci-fi aspect they brought to the storytelling and they game is spectacular for the first couple of cities you visit but after that it does get into needlessly repetitive country. I still want to go through the other 2 games, but I'll probably wait till the hit the Greatest Hits level and only cost 20 bucks to get them.
I found my old Gameshark disk for the PS2 the other day that, I think, has all the cheats for Final Fantasy 7 & 9 on it. If it does then I really want to go through both those games again.
That's it!
Yeah it's all about catching racers or being a racer. Some of the "missions" are time trials to - those suck. But yeah, it's pretty fun.
Crack-ops online. I killed the Campaign. And Mafia II. But I want to be playing L.A Noire, oh so badly.
just finished the campaigns on halo 1, 2, and 3 for the first time ever. looking forward to the campaign on reach, and multiplayer is great of course.
also DEADLY PREMONITION. i love this game. so much twin peaks quirk and darkness.
want to re-play heavy rain when my sister's boyfriend is finished borrowing it, waiting for LA Noire.
So I bought Forza Motorsport 3 because Hot Pursuit got old to me. Running from the cops, chasing speeders. That's it.
Forza is insane - so many options, so many customizations, it's really realistic.
Also bought Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Haven't started playing that one yet due to my obsession with modifying automobiles. But I loved Assassin's Creed II. I really can't wait to have a long span of time to get absorbed into Brotherhood.
I'm halfway through MGS4. I love this series. I suggest non fans start elsewhere because this is the one that answers all the questions. That's right, Kojima is a better storyteller than the guys who made Lost.(not saying much)
I love the wacky Batman-style Supervillians and ingame jokes (a psychic who can shake your controller with the power of his mind and knows (from your memory card) what games you like to play!))(an old coot who happens to be the best sniper in the world who will actually die of old age if you take more than a month (real time) to beat him (or just change your PS2's clock's date).
MGS4 is fun yet I was totally disappointed with the story in the end. The final twist makes everything a complete nonsense (still it's far better than Heavy Rain potholes). Yet till the final scene I was like "OMG OMG OMG OMG that's awesome!!!!" for 90% of the time (even if some plot ideas weren't the best). In the end I'm pissed they destroyed my favorite MGS2, yet MGS4 impresses me with many gameplay elements, and I think it's still one of the best games for PS3.
I bought Resident Evil DS. It's fun to play even If I already played REmake on Gamecube (which is mindblowing game and reason enough to buy a Gamecube).

I do that every so often. That's one of the things I liked about Assassin's Creed II so much. There really was so much to do in the game. Once I beat it, I could still play it for hours and hours.
I bought the X-Men Arcade game on PSN for 10 bucks while on a nostalgia high. That was a semi-mistake. One: It's short. Two: Ten bucks is too much for what you get.
Achievement whoring is all I can do with this game.
It's fun but no real challege since you get infinite continues. I call it a semi-mistake because it's one of those games you can play anytime and turn off anytime. (You know what I mean)
I want to get 5 friends together and play it with 6 players.
Shoulda gotten Castle Crashers maybe. It looks to have a TON of replay value with a lot of unlockable characters.
mike you can add me and i'll do that with you. i might even be able to find us other folks, since i write for so many gaming communities.

I think all beat'em-ups are short, but I rather buy Scott Pilgrim game than X-men. (I wish Capcom's Alien vs Pradator would be on PSN).

I just started rainbow six Vegas, red dead redemption and just cause 2. Wooo!!! Multitasking!
God I love Rainbow Six. I compare every game to it pretty much. It was the first game I absolutely loved playing on my xbox so it has a special place in my heart.
I remember playing the originals. In those, when you died, you didn't come back. You were dead permanently and had to play as someone else for the duration of the game or until you died again. That's pretty hardcore. More shooters should do that.

I was in love with original Ghost Recon. But new entries don't appeal to me.

Ok I'm new to the PS3. How do you add people?

Just beat the game and I'm inclined to agree with you.
******SPOILERS for MGS4*****
The ending totally retcons the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 for the MSX. Wasn't BB's plan in those games to create a perpetual state of war, free of nations or ideologies. I was looking forward to his Darth Vaderish turn (I haven't finished Peace Walker yet) But now thanks to 4, I know there is no turn.
All this aside, I kind of REALLY like the ending. I like how Snake and BB don't look alike (showing that Snake isn't a perfect clone like Solidus and free to live his own life). I can even accept the whole Ocelot hypnotism thing. Afterall he is one of my favorite characters. What I don't get though, is WHO DOES OCELOT WORK FOR?? They say Big Boss at the end of 4 but if that's true then who was Ocelot talking to during the phone conversation at the end of MGS3 about Big Boss?
*****End Spoilers*************

my problem with MGS4 in general is that in the end most of thing you learned during whole series was a lie, and all the emotional involvement in the events (like end of Chapter 3) is worthless.
Also there are some really bizarre ideas (like true nature of the patriots) that I find not so great.
But as I said it's still an incredible game even if for me it's a not a good ending to the series.
Because there is nothing over the rainbow… - http://theunsunnyvalley.wordpress.com
MGS3 is still my favorite in the series but 4 was good. Hopefully, MGS Rising is good.
For those who can't follow the complicated order the series goes in chronologically:
MGS3 - MGS Portable Ops - MGS Peace Walker - Metal Gear - Metal Gear 2 - MGS - MGS2 - MGS Rising - MGS4
The "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie" game.
All.
Fucking.
Weekend.

Fuck, yeah!
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
I was playing quite a lot of RE5's Mercenaries Reunion mode at my friends' house and I'm definitely hyped for Merceneries 3D on 3DS.
I'm also playing first Phoenix Wright game. It gives me a good laugh.

I've been playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood all weekend. I'm really liking some of the new stuff they've added. I can see myself playing this game for a really long time.
I'm playing Enslaved: Odyssey to the West right now. This might be the most under-rated game of 2010. I guess that explains why a lot of the gaming podcasts have been talking about it.
It is a ton of fun with a surprisingly good story (based on a Chinese folk-story). It takes place in future post-robot apocalypse New York, where everything is being reclaimed by nature. The environments look great and epic in scale.
But the amazing part is how phenomenal the acting is. Yeah, I know that is hard to image but the voice-over and mo-cap is done by Andy Serkis.
Check this one out, kids.
There was a sale on XBLA for both Max Payne games so I bought both and beat them in a couple of days. I forgot how hard the first game was and how amazing the second one is. It renewed my interest in the third game that's suppose to come out in a year or two. I seem to be one of the very few people who don't seem to mind that they changed the setting and aged the character.
Right now I'm downloading the new map pack for Black Ops cause I'm lame. Playing CoD is like being in a relationship with an abusive boyfriend. I need someone to play Nazi Zombies with.

I've been playing Black Ops and Little Big Planet 2. Both very good.
The Killzone 3 Open Beta is top of the list now though.

So we just got a PS3. Anyone got any game reccomendations? Or demo recommendations, at least? Only got Call of Duty Black Ops at the moment.
That's all you need Kit, that's all you need.
But, umm, I had a lot of fun with the Biker story half of the GTA: Liberty City stories, 'cause I'm into that kind of shit.
Red Dead Redemption. This game was the best fucking game of 2010 for me. By far. Even, the best game of the last few years. I had so much fun with this. And then they went and made an expansion for it--a zombie western! Couldn't get more perfect.
L.A Noire, is coming out around May, and that is going to blow everyone the fuck away.
Dead Island. Also going to blow me away. The trailer is getting around on the internets at the moment and is probably the best trailer for a game I've ever seen.
Demon's Souls is amazing. Only problem is they're coming out with a sequel later this year. But it's still worth playing and you can get it off Ebay for $20.
I also picked up Metal Gear Solid 4 which is also only $20 pretty much everywhere.
The only other games I got are Bioshock II (Another cheapie) and Bad Company 2.

My brother said this was good too, also something called Unchartered?
Uncharted 2.
I am playing Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. I've never played a realtime strategy RPG before. It takes getting used to but I really like it.
best games to buy on PS3 for me:
MGS4 (not best MGS but still great game)
Wipoute HD
Little Big Planet 1&2
Yakuza 3
Valkyria Chronicles
Folklore
Demon's Souls (fun but only on first run, yet worth playing)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma (but avoid Sigma 2 like a plague it's a crap)
Resident Evil 5
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
there are more but that's what came to my mind now.

I remember the Pong box was in Zodiac. Robert Downy Jr's character pointed at it and said "Mesmerizing, isn't it?"
