What games are you playing right now?
NSFW. One of those stupid ten year old xbox live 'imma hack and kill you' bitches gets owned badly. Coerced bitch-slap by his own sister at a little after seven minutes

Worth watching.
that was hilarious. i don't know what else to say.
I assume you mean Counter-Strike 1.6 and not Source?
If someone would have said this before 2010, a flame war would have ensued and an admin would eventually close the thread and all that jazz.
$6.80?
Six dollars...and eighty-cents? I procured the classic 1.6 from Best Buy in '02 for $15 and installed it, no joke, in the middle of a raging college party later that night.
Chicks are funneling beers and stumbling out of the bathroom and I'm sitting there, Steam slowly loading on my laptop, the orange loading bar slowly, slowly moving as I stare at it.
It finished and I clicked on the icon and it loaded and I pulled up a list of servers and clicked the first one I saw, which was running fy_poolday, the classic map centered around a pool.
And it was all downhill from there. Needless to say, I was a virgin for a long, long time after that.
But six eighty? Jesus. If that game were to be sold for its playability alone it'd go for thirty, forty, fifty dollars easily. Heck, I'd pick 1.6 over any game today.
Just like Huckleberry Finn was the quintessential book of fiction back in the day, so was Counter-Strike for any First Person game after it.

Fallout 3. It's fun in all of it's post apocalyptic goodness.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me alone.

Just finished Crisis Core FFVII on PSP, and I gotta, it was a complete piece of shit. I've only ever played one other game in the FF franchise (it was PS2, but I don't remember the name) and it rocked my world. I remember playing it for hours on end. The world was huge and game seemed to go on forever. Crisis Core on the other hand was just a total piece of crap. A tiny world, super linear (yet confusingly/needlessly complicated) story line, useless side-quests, lame characters, mega lame dialog (even by FF standards). There were no good features in this game. Don't buy it. Don't play it.

Why would you play Crisis Core without playing 7 first? I've never played CC and will never defend it but 7 was awesome. I only stick to the numbered Final Fantasys (1-10 anyway, as when the original creator left the series it all went downhill (this includes CC))
7 came out before I owned a console and I've never been into playing old games. Reviewers of CC said it stood well as a game on its own....think they must have all been fans of the original though. There's a version of 7 on PSP and I'm considering getting it just so I can see what all the fuss is about.

My girlfriend and I have been playing Trauma Team on Wii together. It's a fun game except when she picks the wrong tool and tries to stitch up the patient with the laser, then I'm like, "What the fuck?" and she's like "I know! Let me do this!"
Also: Monopoly on Wii (great casual drinking game)

So fun.
I just beat Final Fantasy 9 last night. Can't get over it. The ending is so beautiful. It's up there with any romantic story you could read.
Now, not going to buy anymore games until I get a real job.
I need a new game...
Don't even know if this is worth mentioning, but the sequel for Dissidia: Final Fantasy has been announced in Japan with a release there of Winter of 2011.
It is called Dissidia Duodecim. As fans already knew, Dissidia is Latin for conflict. Duodecim is latin for the number 12.
So far according to screenshots seen in the Japanese magazine, Garland from FF1 and Cecil from FF4 will be making a return..
...but the better news is that 2 NEW characters have been revealed. Kain, Cecil's backstabbing friend from FF4 will make his appearance along with Lightning from FF13.
THEN THEY'RE NOT NEW CHARACTERS
New to Dissidia anyway. I think you're just splitting hairs.
I'm playing World War on my iPhone. It's stupidly addictive, and I was skeptical when I downloaded it.

Anybody looking forward to Black Ops?
Anybody know how it is yet? (I'm looking at you Kirk)
I started Super Metroid a long time ago. Quit because I was frustrated. But I booted up the ROM yesterday and now love it. It really is quite fun exploring without a strategy guide.
I was playing FF XIII
I like the fighting system
The story is right,
The music its right
But no es perfecto like FF IV to X
I should end it but I don' t feel like
liked MGS Peace walker and the "Che" thing
right now DJhereando a little
and 3D DOT game heroes
I've been playing Alpha Protocol lately. I bought it just because I haven't bought a new game in a while and I needed something new. I've been surprised on how much I like it. The only complaint I have is that the game is a little glitchy. Like the character won't do stuff when you know he should be able to sometimes (he can peak around corners, but sometimes he just won't until you leave the corner and come back to "reset"). Otherwise it's been pretty fun and the story is pretty good.
I'm playing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP.
God, this game makes me sad that I haven't played MGS for a long time. I realize I've missed it. Gotta go back and play MGS 3 after this...until I get a PS3 and can play MGS 4.
I'm not into politics but these games are political and yet very interesting. Especially MGS3 which is a prequel and takes place during the Cuban Missle Crisis.
Peace Walker is great for a portable MGS because you can play it in bit sized missions that make up the whole game.
Peace Walker is a sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3 so you play as a young Big Boss (Naked Snake) as opposed to his clone Solid Snake.
Enough, I'm done ranting about this now.
Fallout: New Vegas.
It's awesome. Better then Fallout 3.

I think I'm going to finally put in Arkham Asylum tonight.
I've been playing a free game called League of Legends. Kind of like an RTS, but with roleplaying elements. You start each map off with three to five people and compete against the other team to destroy their base, buying equipment to make your characters stronger and that kind of thing.
It's pretty cool. I'd definitely recommend everyone try it. It's free--why not?
I've been playing The Impossible Game. It's one level. You only use one button. It's hard as shit, and addicting as hell.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. And it's so fucking good. You can't lose with a zombie western. You can't. It's impossible.
you don't even lose if the zombies eat you??
I meant, It's a winning formula. Zombie + Western = fucking brillaint.
But yeah, that's one weird thing: you can get bitten and nothing happens to you. You still have normal health. I wish i would turn into a zombie.
Wet, Fallout : new vegas, Dead rising 2, MW2(with dlc's) ... thinking of getting black ops but everyone wants to play zombies(puke) zombies will never be fun in a game until they make a free roam or a massive multiplayer online zombie game.
For 85c ill tell you if you stink
for $5 ill tell you what the stink resembles
and for $10 ill tell you if it's permanent.
holy shit. that is crazy.
I've been playing angry birds....

Red Dead Redemption is open world.
You've obviously never played Left 4 Dead.

ODST.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I haven't actually. I want to. Is it xbox exclusive? If so, I'll probably buy one because I'm still aching to play Alan Wake.
That was really directed at IliveintheZone's comment about Zombie games not being fun. It's not open world or anything, but it is pretty damn fun when playing with some friends. If you don't have any friends who don't play it, don't bother.
And it is an Xbox exclusive though it's also on PC. And since Valve are starting to seriously develop games for the PS3, there's a slight chance it might be ported over.
Also, Alan Wake is pretty great. The only real problem I had with it is Alan constant narration, which can get kind of annoying and takes away from the survival-horror/puzzle-solving aspect of the game in places.

halo 2.
reach was my first halo game, i'd always ignored the series. wasn't in a place for sci fi when they started coming out. playing through now, i'm quite pleased with the story arcs and what must have been at the time new gameplay concepts and scenarios. thoroughly enjoying it. have 3 queued up, then i need to find a copy of odst before i finish the reach singleplayer campaign.
love the multiplayer of reach, and building things worlds and maps in forge. might be my favorite online shooter since unreal tournament.
I have played both left 4 dead and red dead redemption but i didn't play the RDR zombie DLC and no real plans to, from what i can tell it's all storyline with the zombies and maybe a little special multiplayer variant, either they'll open up more area or just add to a unused part of the current map itll be a few extra hours of gameplay.
left 4 dead is linear and not free roam and red dead's zombie dlc probably isn't gonna have much of a replay value the actual game didn't.
so like i said zombies will not be fun untill they make a Massive multiplay online focusing on the zombies and the survival of it all, securing weapons and finding allies, fighting the horde of zombies. but until they do ill look for my zombie fix in movies like the upcoming world war z.

Have fun with that.

We all have the types of games that we like.
While most of you on this board seem to be crazy about the repetitive and bland 1st person shooter genre, those who follow my posts on this board may note that I love old games.
I am currently playing Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I remember as a kid, my brother never got past the 4th and final Temple. I am going to beat the game this time. The only having 3 days to live aspect of the game is kind of cool. As shown in these awesome eerie commercials.

And?
I can't afford a new system right now.

well, I have to agree. Modern games are not for me.
Anyway, I played a bit of Shin Megemi Tensei - Strange Journey (an amazing game, if you like old Shin Megami Tensei games it's like second coming of Jesus, or rather of Lucifer), I'm also playing Soma Bringer (nice, but I hope it will get better) with a translation patch (game was released only in Japan officially). Both are on Nintendo DS.

Trials HD.
This game is hard as fuck. Medium difficulty my ass.

My friends got me New Vegas for my birthday, but I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, but I've heard it's really good. I'm way to busy with school right now and I remember Fallout 3 taking up a great deal of my time when I first got that.

I've passed on those new Fallouts, I love the old ones but the new ones are just too similar to Oblivion which I hate.

N64 and Playstation are old school now?
What's my Pong console?
This is why we can't have nice things.
What's my Pong console?
An Atari.
Deadly Premonition.
Hell yes. So many Twin Peaks references I just can't stop.
Naw, I have an Atari. The Pong box is considerably older.
This is why we can't have nice things.

Alan Wake on my third playthrough- if you've got a 360 and haven't checked this game out yet, you're doing yourself a disfavor. A friend of mine had said that he thought it looked like total bullshit, and I just couldn't explain the thing to him. Really, though, it's got a really good story. Better than most in games. Not Mass Effect level, but really, what can reach that easily?
I've been getting back into Left4Dead 1, and stayed up till 4:30 last night on LIVE with it. Also I just got Dragon Age: Origins on my birthday two days ago, but haven't been able to sit down with it just yet.
