What games are you playing right now?
Dump him!
Nah, it means I can play it all I want and he's not bothered.
The two-player aspect of the game is pretty lame, come to think of it.
I bought the last Assassins Creed game despite barely playing any of the previous games.
The science fiction elements have always annoyed me. The series would be a thousand times better without them.

Max Payne 3
I'm surprised how fun the online is. But like most online shooters I see myself getting bored and frustrated by it in a month. Than I'll just go back to Dark Souls. I always go back to Dark Souls.
When I was the rat,
The rat who would be king
The science fiction elements have always annoyed me. The series would be a thousand times better without them.
The whole sci-fi illuminati thing is the aspect that I thought really pulled everything together. It made the game more than just a mission-to-mission game (which is what I've always hated about GTA).
It just annoys me because its constantly reminding you that you're actually playing as some cunt in a dentists chair rather then a kick-ass assassin and all the little visual flourishes don't help.

Oh, yeah I hate the present scenes. I wish He would just stay in the past. But I loved the conspiracy / larger picture / paranormal / sci-fi aspect to the story.
Yeah those are finebut the present scenes are fucking awful.

I'm playing Mass Effect 2 and loving it.
I haven't gotten really far yet, because I don't have much time to play, but during the weekend I'll be playing more.
Is the first half of this game [Assassins Creed: Revelations] nothing but tutorials?
Also Subject 16 is the only interesting character I've met so far. Why can't I play as him?

Finally bought a new game last night! It's been so long since I even fired up my xbox. It sounds like shit from the dust settling in it. Or maybe I just don't remember how it sounds.
I bought Dues Ex. So far, it's pretty cool. The concept is a little old, but the story is cool so far. And I like the gameplay. It was only $20, so I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of it.
Hey! I recommended that game! People do listen to me!

Yep!
I was waiting to catch it for $20 because I'm a cheap fuck. haha
I've been keeping my eye on Crysis 2 also.
I'm still not 100% sure if you'd like Crysis 2. It doesn't give you nearly as many options as Deus Ex. It's basically a much better, more expansive Call of Duty where stealth and silently picking off dudes one at a time is a viable option (Though kind of tough to pull off). Definitely do some more research before you buy. You can probably find lightly used copies online for under $20, maybe even some new copies if you don't like buying used.
I really want to buy NeverDead even though I've heard it's kind of bad.

What about Singularity?
I played Singularity a bit. It's a lot like Bioshock but more linear, which isn't really a bad thing. It's got some pretty good atmosphere and some clever ideas. Not really a stealth game if that's what you're looking for but I say if you find a cheap copy then get it because it's a fun little game.
Whenever I'm thinking about getting a game I watch a couple of long gameplay videos on Youtube. If after watching a half hour of footage doesn't convince you then maybe you shouldn't get it.

Yeah, not sure if Singularity is my thing. I didn't like the demo of Bioshock at all.
The demo never really does the game justice. I hated the demo to Bulletstorm and now it's one of my favorite games of all time.
Bioshock is amazing and the second is better in some ways. I'd highly suggest giving them a second chance.

Bioshock is easy to get engrossed in one minute, then easy to get off of the next. I got the the point where the game wants you to take a picture of every enemy you fight, and haven't picked it up since.
Justin, did you find the maps overly-complicated on Deus Ex? I'm constantly lost. I get more frustrated with not being able to get where I'm going than anything else.
Yeah, the main city maps can be a bit confusing but you'll get used to them. The mission maps a bit more straight forward though.
The reason they're so complicated it to offer more than one way to reach an objective. Burst through the front door guns blazin' or sneak into ventilation duct? That sort of thing.

I was over a buddies house and my friend was playing this game called Journey. You play as a little hooded figure and you're on a journey to the top of this mountain. Your only two options besides moving are jump and talk, which comes in the form of an unrecognizable character that pops up above your head, which you can use to interact with a partner that you are paired with throughout the journey. Now other online players can drop in an out as your partner fairly seamlessly, but you don't know who they are until you beat the game when it gives you their username, so this is where it gets a little weird. My buddy played about halfway through the game with about three different partners, and then paused the game while we went to get dinner. We come back about an hour an a half later and he starts playing again and immediately the other player starts moving with him. He is convinced its the same guy and I'm almost sure it's either a bot or just some random person starting up with him again. NO. He beats the game and sees the guy was just waiting for him to come back the entire time. Who waits for over an hour doing nothing for a person they have never met before and has no idea is even coming back? We chatted with the guy after and he said he just wanted to make sure we were coming back alright.

Justin wrote a cool review of that game. It's on his blog. I'll let him link it for you.
EDIT: Link removed. Blog doesn't exist anymore due to laziness and such.

Trying to get into Little Big Planet 2.
Not sure why the game's not clicking with me but it isn't.

That's ok. The first one didn't with me either. It's kinda boring.
I'm also having trouble getting into Assassins Creed: Revelation. I'm having trouble getting into a lot of games these days. Debating whether I should clean out my collection, try selling off a bundle of games in a lot. Most of the games I've been thinking about getting rid of are games I bought on impulse buys because they were super cheap so I could probably make a bit of a profit if I'm lucky.

Bought Payday: The heist because it was half off. Interesting little game. It has some problems: Graphics are kind of bland and sub-par, controls are wonky, and there's this weird bug where if you join in the middle of the game there will be a bunch of enemies who just appear and stand around doing nothing. Some kind of weird syncing issue I read about.
Thinking about getting Crysis 2 and Syndicate again. I sold them off when I sold my 360.
Can't decide what I want to write my next review about. I was going to do a list about things I look for in games like open worlds and customization. Then I started another list about my favorite shooters. Now I'm thinking about doing a review of either Syndicate or Crysis 2. Or maybe something else. A review of the Left 4 Dead games maybe? I can't decide.

So no one here plays LOL?
I don't know what that is...
(i feel like this is a set-up for a joke)
League of Legends. Dan's been really into it lately or so he says in PA.
I don't play PC games.
It's kind of mind boggling how much better inFamous 2 is than inFamous 1.

I know right?!
I was gonna get Spec Ops: The Line but played the demo and decided not to. It reminded me of Army of Two: 40th Day in a bad way. Plus it's running on Unreal 3 and everything that runs on Unreal 3 looks and plays like shit.
As for what I'm playing, I just picked up a super cheap copy ($4) of Dark Sector so I'll probably be popping that in soon.

I'm playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Read a review and it hits the nail on the head.
It says that it takes great things from other games, and has no identity of its own. That it has beautiful scenery but invisible walls so you can't go where they don't want you to.
I'm still enjoying it though. I like the fighting mechanics (ala God of War). And God help me. I've always been a sucker for the Castlevania mythology. It originally started as a monster movie mash up of monsters to kill. But it evolved into fighting agents of Satan. Though, with Dracula as the main bad guy, religion was bound to play a role eventually. I guess it always has from the beginning using Cross boomerangs and Holy Water as weapons.
Playing Mass Effect 3.
Playing Skyward Sword, which is awesome! And Mario Tennis, which is a bit rubbish. It was way too easy at first but now on pro it's ridiculously hard, Wario is a cheater! Regretting buying it, I wish I'd got Heroes of Ruin or Kid Icarus instead.
Have you played the other two? The reason I ask is - everybody keeps talking about the Mass Effect games and how awesome they are. If I'm going to start playing them, I want to start from the beginning. I'm just not convinced I'm going to like them though.
I haven't played the first one! I started with the second one, and the reason I enjoy this game is because I love the combination of action and social interaction. Now I'm playing the third one, and I love that you're able to continue with your character, including the decisions you've made and relationships you built with other characters in the previous game.
The game takes up a lot of time, as it's important to interact with others and do extra things that you will benefit from later on. I thought it was worth it, but my boyfriend said at some point he felt like it was too much of that, and he preferred more action.
Cool thanks. Sometimes I'm in the mood for that sort of thing. I guess I'll hold off until I am.
The other day Isabel's grandmother gave her Bolt, the animated dog movie game. I didn't see it either.
Anyway, it's one where through the whole game you move and a button (A, B, X, Why, etc.) flashes on the screen and you press it, then another flashes on and you press that. It sucks, but I'm going to finish it because fuck you, Bolt.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Been playing Black Ops, mostly for the Zombie mode, and inFamous 2. I also got inFamous: Festival of Blood since it was on sale for $5. Haven't played a lot of it but what I have played is awesome.

Finally beat Deus Ex. I ended up really liking it. I wish I would have known there were 4 endings before getting so close to the end. I would have made a save point at the deciding area of what two endings you will get to choose from. Then I could have experienced all four endings instead of just two. Oh well, I guess I'll have to replay it one day.
Next up in Mass Effect.
Just beat Castlevania Lords of Shadow. I was laughing at the identity of the final boss. I felt like a fucking badass taking him down.
Also worth noting that the creators of the game have got some explaining to do in the sequel. Without spoiling anything, there's a gap in time between the post final boss cinematic and the epilogue. Can definitely see that the creator of Metal Gear Solid worked on this game.
Kinda Bad: Most aspects of the game are taken from other games. Weapon style and QuickTime events from God of War. And even a few boss fights from Shadow of the Colossus
Good: Story kept me interested as most Castlevania games do. Great characters. Varied, different, and interesting boss fights. Definitely a highlight. You fight a demonic chef who leaves the humans that the vampires suck dry for the ghouls to eat. In his kitchen no less! You fight vampires whose food supply you have to destroy or they get strong again. And then there's the final boss.
Good game. Not fantastic. 8 out of 10 for me.
Been playing a lot of Black Ops, inFamous 2, and Dragons Dogma lately. Need to play some more Dark Souls and NeverDead, a game I've barely even touched since I got it.
Recently bough Operation Flashpoint: Red River because I wanted to play a tactical shooter. Unfortunately there are very few tactical shooters on consoles so my choices were limited. I also (re)bought Lost Planet 2.
I also made an account on Steam to take advantage of the Steam Summer Sale. I got the F.E.A.R. Collection, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyet, Dear Esther, and Left 4 Dead 2. It's kind of silly because I don't even have a computer to play any of these games yet. I'll probably pick up a few more games though only if they're 75% off. I made the mistake of getting STALKER at 50%, which went on sale again for 75% later.

Add E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, The Penumbra Collection, Bulletstorm, Red Orchestra 2, and Morrowind to that list. Steam sale wiped me out this year, and I don't even have a computer. Guess this is just more motivation to get a job and make some money.
Also Red River sucks. I hate it when a shooters highest controller sensitivity setting still feels sluggish. Selling it. Have way too many games as it is.

Bought Max Payne 3 (And RE:ORC cause it was cheap). Heard that MP3 hasn't really sold as well as people thought it would so I'm hoping it isn't too big a disappointment.

Got Max Payne 3 this morning and have been playing some of the single player and oh My GOD the Tony Scott "Domino/Man on Fire" effects are absolutely FUCKING annoying.

Anyone got the app DrawSomething?
Add me (Strawberryfondant) and let's draw!

Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii.
My boyfriend's not into it, but he didn't grow up with Mario.
