The reactions to this game cracks me up!

It totally seems to be divided between people who just cannot understand why anyone would want to look at a screen of numbers and stats ("What, so...you don't actually [I]play[/I] the football games?") and people who take five days off from work and dont sleep for a week to get Leyton Orient promoted.

It is with a sense of shame and embarrasment that I put myself in the second category. But I'm weaning off it! Honest!

OMG the GameGear! That was one of my happiest moments ever - getting that little bugger for Christmas.

what bit you stuck at? I remember there being an annoying spin/rool/massive jump bit that just seemed impossible

It's two levels after you conquer Robotnik for the first time. I was never a Sonic girl, really. However, I did complete [I]Sonic 2/the one with Tails [/i] and [I]Sonic and Knuckles [/I] for the `16 bit Megadrive once upon a time.

I just don't understand why the Gameboy did better than the Gamegear (I had both, the Gameboy first) because the Gamegear just seemed lightyears ahead of the Gameboy. You couldn't play the Gameboy in the dark for a start...

....unless you had one of those extremely gayyy things that looked like a big square magnifying glass attached to your gameboy.

I distinctly remember this game because it was at the time of playing it, I discovered turning my PS upside down made it work better.

There was a NFS Porsche game, but it wasnt that one.

Well, i'll try that tonight. My favourite player was the japanese guy, Taka Bo or something.

God, I really need to get some more games. I was thinking of getting the Nintendo DS, but I could probably buy about fifty+ badass playstation1 games for the same price. Actually, then again, the DS is hot...

[COLOR=SandyBrown]Mario Golf was a great game, especially when you linked it up withthe game boy advance version, its probably my favorite of all these iterations of Mario games.

I wasnt as crazy about Mario Tennis, but Mario Baseball is awesome.

While i love these games i do agree that they need a new Mario platformer, and i wasnt crazy about Mario Sunshine, it wasnt a Mario platformer really, it was Mario with a water gun. I cant say the game was bad but with Mario 64 as the last real Mario game i was expecting a heck of a lot more. I think i actually liked Luigi's Mansion more.

My friend and i agree though: there needs to be a Mario Hockey in the worst way. =P[/COLOR]

Mario Sunshine did have [I]some[/I] good moments, mostly little details. I'm a sucker for such things. For example, when you fight that big goober squid and have to pull all of it's tentacles off, then stretch its lips until they snapped back and knocked it into the water. I liked that.

But yeah, something more Mario 64-ish please.

I thought there was going to be a Paper Mario game for Gamecube.

it's still not real mario though. it's RPG. i wanna jump on mushrooms and throw turtles.

[COLOR=SandyBrown]paper mario for gamecube kicked ass - i actually liked the story line. of course not deep like kingdom hearts or final fantasy, but it was at least ineteresting (even if it did involve saving the princess ). mario & luigi super star saga for gameboy advance was really good too. at least in the absence of mario platformers they make really great rpgs with the mario cast.

i just wish they wouldnt leave luigi out so much. i hope they make a luigis mansion 2 or a paper luigi like they hinted at so many times in the new paper mario.

i dont know why but i have just always dug 90% of mario games, and will probably always own the newest nintendo system.[/COLOR]

I quit it too. As always, I was intrigued, but not so much so that I had to beat the game.
SH2 is quite the game. As for best ever, I can't say that much, but it was damn excellent.
I would have beaten 3 if I owned it instead of borrowed.

Anyway, I love how insane these games are.
