So I've done the wordpress and blogger type blogs in the past but recently I've been itching to do something a little more legit, a website/blog with www.domain.com, but of course I know very little about html code. So as far as going about this is a company like godaddy the way to go? I'm not looking to spend much at all (since it's not something I'd plan to make any $ with) but would like something that's easy to create and maintain. Suggestion? I need all the help I can get.

what do you mean when you say wordpress and blogger aren't legit? i know of lots of writers who blog from one of those sites. are you saying their stuff is not legit for posting from them? maybe clarify what you mean by "legit."

pay money for blog = legit?

I think you just mean the domain name, because honestly, Neil Gaiman uses Blogger (among other big names). Purchase a domain name through GoDaddy and get their cheapest monthly hosting package (5 bucks amonth). Then, have your blog account pointing to that domain. It's simple, I do it for clients all the time.

Matter of fact, there's a Cultie I need to help with that today...

Perhaps legit is totally the wrong word. What I mean is that while the site would be mainly a blog, I'd want more than one section/page. I haven't really found a way to work that out with blogger or wordpress.
