1. Bioshock
2. The Orange Box - 360
3. Assassin's Creed - 360
4. Halo 3
5. God of War II
Post the games that busted your thumbs over the past year.
A man chooses. A slave obeys.
We bought a Wii this year. So we didn't bust our thumbs, but we did throw out a shoulder, smacked my mom's dog in the face, and started buying IcyHot in bulk.
And that was just Wii bowling.
No one has the right to teach us stuff we don't want to learn. That's what our Bill of Constitution's all about.
I'm a PC gamer...
I usually wait until games are in the discount bin, so mine are:
1. Call of Duty (+ United Front)
2. Halo
3. The Orange Box (Just got it, still working through everything - Portal is trippy)
4. Peter Jackson's King Kong
5. GTA:SA
I also reinstalled and played the Max Payne series and Simpsons Hit and Run.
I just built my own soon to be OC'ed monster rig, so gaming should get more interesting soon for me...as will productivity, of course.
Madden 08/Guitar HeroIII/NCAA 08- Football..that's all that I purchased really...I'm a lame gamer
Super Mario Galaxy - Wii
WolfQuest - PC
Imagine Babyz - DS
Catz 2 - Wii
Bratz 4 Real - DS

Specs please!
I'd like you to tell me that you are a false prophet and that God is a superstition.
I have a Core2Duo E6750 (which I need to OC, or I might just wait and buy a quad core)
Big purty Thermaltake V1 CPU cooler
Thermaltake Extreme Spirit II NB cooler
XClio Windtunnel case
680i LT sli MB
4GBRAM
Vista64
PNY Verto 8600GT 512MB
X-Fi Fatal1ty gamer edition sound card
I'm thinking of getting a second vid card and going full SLI, but I've heard bad things (slower performance on some games). For now, I want to see if I can OC close to 3GHz and see how far I can push the RAM and video card.
So if it's not a monster yet, it's at least a burly hairy bouncer at a bar.
The Orange Box, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and Crysis were all fantastic.
Mario Galaxies, Rock Band (altough it was expensive as hell), GOW2, Twilight Princess (I think it was this year) would be my choices. Maybe Guitar Hero 3 as my 5th.

How was S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? That's PC only and made by some Russian developer, right?

Now that most of the bugs have been fixed, it's easily one of the best games of the year.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, and a good take on all of the Chernobyl hubbub.
It reminds me very much of the original Half Life.
Another premium game this year is The Witcher.
No order:
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
Rock Band
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions
Best game I didn't play: Portal
I couldn't think of a fifth.
Top Five Games I'm looking forward to:
Metal Gear Solid 4
No More Heroes
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Final Fantasy Dissidia
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Grand Theft Auto 4
Spore
Last Remnant
Lego Batman
I AM MARRIED
2007 was certainly an awesome year for games, specially for the consoles. My top 5 (All on the 360)
1. Call Of Duty 4
2. Bioshock
3. Halo 3
4. Guitar Hero 3.......ROCKIN!!!!
5. Assassins Creed
I Know I Know I like to kill things.....
I loved last year game-wise, here goes:
1. Zelda Phantom Hourglass DS
2. Mario Galaxy Wii
3. Guitar Hero 3 Wii
4. Super Paper Mario Wii
5. Resident Evil Umberella Chronicles Wii (it's just fun, really fun.)
My roomie has Umbrella Chronicles, and I tried it expecting good things but couldn't get into it. I can't handle not seeing your character. Give me a hands or gun pointing. Something to make me feel attached to a character. Not just a blank screen with seemingly floating voices.

You know I agree with you, that brings it down somewhat. It's also pretty easy, but it makes up for it in other ways; personally I like the mad scramble my boyfriend and I have trying to collect more items than the other (even when they're just diary entries and stuff). Plus, it's one of the few games I'm way better than him at.
I might change my no.5 best game of last year though - I really really enjoy Mario and Sonic at the olympics. I was embarrassed to say it yesterday since it's a wuss game and most of the other games I listed as my favourites were wussy aswell. But I'm gonna be honest now and unashamed: Mario and Sonic is super fun and it really really hurts your arms to play it for long stretches. It has some serious down points though, like the loading times, the Ping Pong is shit and the bloody screens before every event that give ytou the option to read the controls for the gazillionth time and to go to the event. Plus the 'In lane 5.........Princess Peach' - all of that could be done away with. Plus real online multiplayer - not just entering your scores.
