The SIMS
So call me a very very late bloomer, but I just got into this game, and I am addicted. I'm playing the basic version right now, I have yet to install the expansions though.
I had made a pair of roomies named after me and my guy (same zodiac signs...appearances etc etc) and I just got them to fall in love. I feel so accomplished and God-like for some reason.
Anyway, I'm sure most of you have been playing this game for years already, but I'm glad I got into this now. My 2nd session summer class was cancelled so now I have a ton of time on my hands to spare either reading or playing games.

I have the Sims Superstar. I still don't understand how to work it properly.

the sims was a cool game, utill you start cheating. Then it gets boring.
I used to make one guy woo all the ladies, and then on by one kill them, by letting them drown in the pool or getting caught in a fire or putting them in a room with no doors.
Sometimes I would build the smallest house that covered all the sims needs(bed, toilet, ect.)
Part two sounds good .
I built the Sims version of Oz. Also a cemetery and a rest home.

I had some issues installing the expansions, and I royally messed it up, so now I have to uninstall everything and start all over.
SIMS game story though: My roomate is born on the cusp of 2 zodiacs, so her boyfriend made a SIm family of one guy and two girls (he had his zodiac and the two girls had his girlfriend's zodiacs) and one ended up killing herself...which is a litter creepy cuz my roomate gets depressed quite easily...
I think its so addicting because it feel so real sometimes when you model characters after yourself or friends.

When the sims first came out, my friend and I would do this for hours. We'd ring up the policeman and trap him in the smallest space possible. But, after a while, they just disappear! Cop out!
It takes twice as long to kill a child too.

I quit playing after, you know, the average couple ... of years.
That game is fun for about 10 minutes. Five minutes is just waiting for it to load, even on MY computer. I don't understand anyone who can play as these people and live out their lives for hours on end. Wasting your life on a pretend life, that can't be a good thing.

to me, the Sims was always a race against the clock to take the garbage out before my sim would piss itself (happened all the time - damn thing couldn't hold it five minutes).
