sync podcasts
iTunes lame!!! sync podcasts mad wack..let me drag and drop without being a mystery..HULK MAD!
the problem i have is that i'll drag podcasts onto the ipod, but i won't be able to see them. the podcasts are on the ipod, but i can't access them like other music files. so in order to delete them, i have to reset the ipod. this problem only happened with the latest updated version of itunes.
well that's just bizarre. I know before it was a case of just having to go to the podcasts playlist and delete them since they weren't viewable as music files and that would get rid of 'em, but that's gone now too?

Couldnt you straight up download the podcasts as MP3s from their proper sites?
If I just dump them into iTunes they get recognised as songs.
Untill I had to upgrade when my old iPod 3G broke last month I was still using iTunes 5 and had to grab podcast files elsewhere, which I still do.

i think i figured it out. i added the "podcast" playlist to the ipod list. both (itunes & ipod) use the same icon for podcasts. i guess the updated version needed to put podcasts in the "podcast" playlist, which before i didn't have a designated "podcast" playlist.
a bit awkward, but it seems like it was a file management issue.
FJ:
some sites don't give offer a direct mp3. and it would be nice if the new itunes recognized podcasts as songs as opposed to some special podcast file.

I gave up on itunes handling podcasts because of that, now I just have a playlist called Podcasts which I drag them on to. It's not perfect, but it's a lot less frustrating for me.
