Damn man, suddenly AdAware is trying to email stuff to someone and it keeps doing it over and over and over again. My computer is totally fucking blowing up over here. I'm forced to post this on my sis' laptop. Help please.

If nobody here can help, I strongly recommend Geeks To Go. They bailed me out of not one, but two really nasty virus/trojan/adware situations.

They are free to use with a tip-jar type system if you get some particularly good help. The first time I used them the guy spent a good hour or two helping me out on a Sunday so I tipped him $20.

Thanks for the tip. I'm gonna kill this sonuvabitch, it's already at 476 emails that it couldn't send. My whole computer is clogging up.

edit: that's 996 now.

You may need to start up your computer in "Safe Mode" *without* networking, that should stop any shit from trying to send out while you fix the problem, although you may want to download some tools first if you don't have a 2nd computer to do that.

You need some good anti-spyware Norton is lame. I have tried about every program on the market, currently I am recommending Trend Micro Antivirus, it has a free 30-day trial. In some cases, I have been removing Norton completely and installing the whole Trend Micro suite.

Next step try Spybot Search & Destroy (you can have more than one antispyware program installed, as long as they are not set up to be "resident" there should be no prob).

For the finishing touch, try HijackThis! there are a bunch of forums where you can post the output from HijackThis! and people will tell you what is causing your problem.

Another very good tool is CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) that will help you look at what programs are starting at system startup and allow you to forcibly remove stuff when necessary. However, it takes a bit more tech savvy to understand.
