Super Mario Galaxies
It's not super kiddish like Sunshine was (to me at least)
Mario Galaxy is a whole bunch of fun! I found it quite easy but none the less fantastic! It just kept making me smile over and over again, and the lack of loading times was brilliant and comendable.
Yeah, the easiness of it kinda killed it for me. Like Wii games in general, I couldn't find a real challenge to it, thusly getting bored very easily. I'm not saying it was a bad game, it surely has a market that many people belong to, I'm just not in that market. I don't know, maybe I just graduated my gaming tastes to a need for meaning, a need for story, and a need for challenge. Galaxy didn't have any of those and was wasted on the lkes of me.
A man chooses. A slave obeys.
I was considering picking it up, but I haven't yet. After reading jd's comments I might not. I understand the need for a challenge. Thats what made Zelda: The Twilight Princess a bit of a disappointment for me, it was just too easy and the story lacked something. Maybe I'll rent galaxies and see what I think.

I absolutely loved Mario Galaxies.
Yes it was fairly easy to get enough coins to fight bowser, but i struggled to get all the purple coins. Let alone play the game through again with luigi (you unlock him for getting ALL the stars secret or normal stars).
Legend of Zelda was fairly easy(i had more trouble finding out were i was supposed to go & collecting bugs), but seeing as the wii is the first nintendo system i have owned since NES days i was fairly impressed with everything as a whole.
The only huge let down with the Wii is Trauma Center: Second opinion, and that is less to do with a bad game and more to do with my hands are just too shakey to do well at it.
*EDITED DOUBLE POST*
I wish you could get the original donkey kong and donkey kong jr still. I've had an itch to play those again here lately.
There are several websites that have the original Donkey Kong games up. I never think it's the same to play them on the computer and not on NES or whatever the original console was, but hopefully they'll help you get your fix. I found this one quickly for you.

Yup, I've got it and I'm enjoying it. I loved the crap out of SM64, it was amazing. And like you, I didn't much care for Sunshine.
It's certainly not as ground breaking as 64 was, but the new gameplay additions are nice.
