First of all, I am not too current on threads around here these days, so I apologize if a thread RE this exists, but ...
[Genius] Creator of the Sims games, Will Wright has come up with a new game idea called Spore, to release I believe ~next Xmas-ish (is that a double "ish"?)
His insight into game development paradigms (if I may dare use [I]that[/I] word) is quite interesting and it even sheds a little light on sites like THIS one (in a you must connect the dots kind of way) ...

I should say $50 is nothing for a game. We pay anything up to £45 here in the UK - whats that, like $80?
We get screwed indeed when it comes to gaming. Cheapest a new game will ever be is about £30 (and thats not often). Which is still more than you guys.

As a UK resident, if i went to Russia on holiday, would i find the prices really cheap for everything?

We may finally see this released in, or near, the [U]summer of 2008.[/U] PC gets first dibs, of course.
Speaking of long-in-development interactive experiences, the ironically titled [B]Duke Nukem Forever[/B] actually exists and it looks like it'll see a release in 2008-early 2009.

Also, it is my understanding the game is set to be released in March...of course it has had several release dates prior to the March date
and now, one and a half years later, this dormant thread is restored. Spore: galactic adventures expansion pack: june 23rd. looks awesome, definitely getting it
Every time someone bumps a Thag thread I get all excited and then I realize it's an old thread that's been bumped and I get all...oh.
I've heard about this game. It looks very interesting. I'll watch this whole video later, but thank you for posting. I never would have checked it out more if you hadn't.
