So I want to get a MP3 Player
I finally have the money and have accepted the fact that one could be quite useful. So do any of you know where I could get a good 2 - 4 gig one under $100?
i'd go with creative, the players are more compatible with unregistered songs
I got the creative zev v plus for christmas, but i killed the hard drive and had to bring it back
they didn't have another one, so i got the sandisk that is almost identical
The sandisk would not let me play the music that i downloaded, plus it had a crap load of songs already on it which i hated
so i brought it back, and the had the creative zen
(which i'm listening to now)
best bet would be the zen nano, it's a gig but can hold 500 songs if you compress them correctly, it's what i got for me wife
yeah, but ipod is doing this thing now, where they put special unique sig. on the songs that you download. this way, when the songs are spread all over the internet they will know whose device it came from.
neither the creative nor sandisk players carry this information...
I was nervous about spending anything more than a 100 dollars on an mp3 player, and recently jsut took the jump and got an Ipod Nano for 230ish$, now the only thing I regret is not getting a bigger Ipod. The Nano holds 3.86 gig, and is more than enough, until you start to fill it up. I'm either gonna trade in my nano back to walmart, just say i thought it was a normal ipod and accidentally openned it, or give the gift of joy and let my cousin have it, and just shell out a couple more hundred to get a normal ipod.
I ended up getting a creative MuVo. It's all right, still some getting used to. I can't seem to have it organize files the way I want it (it just kinda plays all music randomly). If worst comes to worst I'll just transfer and delete songs based on mood as opposed to keeping them all on there at one time.
I saw this kid (20-23) walking down the street wearing one of those black racing jackets with patches for coca-cola, mac-tools, etc, and really tight black jeans. He was tall and skinny with a ridiculously long neck, and not only was his mouth wide open, but his curly black hair bobbed up and down as he walked. He was listening to an Ipod but had these overly large headphones, those really big ones that cover your entire ear, but they were ones from the early 90s you could tell. I could tell, I mean. Anyway, he made me raff...he was also strutting.

Probably listening to the Bee Gees. Most likely Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack.

it was a tough decision for me to decide whether or not to get an mp3 player.
i've been listening to tapes and cds for as long as i can remember! but these days, it's hard to find cds at any stores, unless you get the cheap chit they have in wal mart.
all the used cd shops in my town, nay, the entire island have vanished. the majors are even disapperaing! sam goody locked there doors last summer, tower record just went under, virgin went years ago...
unless you want to order all your music of the internet through ebay or amazon, who knows what you'll be getting, you have to start making your own cds.
i have about....a million mix cds and tapes now, but i don't really label them, so who knows what i'll be getting.
i got into modern technology agin this year, i got a flash drive, a digital camera, and very recently an mp3 player.
i was looking at all of the ones that are around these days,.the ipod is the big one, but it's a lot like nike, all name. i wanted one that could play videos as well, cuz that could really help to kill a coupla hours *imaging watching spogebob romp in the flowers*.
so, i got the creative zen v plus, and now my only wish is that i had gotten the muvo instead, with it's bigger screen, and larger memory...

maybe i was that guy with the way oversize head phones, those DO sound the best you know...

2 GB would probably be your best bet for that price, unless you try eBay. I would look at Creative Labs or SanDisk. They have good mp3 players at a respectable price. If you don't mind buying refurbished you might have better luck with the price and getting a bigger player. That is what I did with my iPod and I haven't had a problem with it.
