Modern Warfare 2
yeeaaahhh.... I'm just gonna leave this here...
That kid got pwned for 17 hours straight.

hahahaha! he probably did. He's probably got my level of skill at FPS's, and just got his ass handed to him over and over again....
OH man...
Now I feel bad for him....
That would suck so majorly.
wow.
time to ask mum and daddy to buy a new camcorder.
what a brat.
i just set down and decided to ignore multiplayer for the night, focus on the campaign. done.
pretty satisfied with it overall, some intensely great gameplay moments in there.
i too got myself stuck behind a checkpoint/spawn trap on that same level kirk. when i was in the safehouse waiting for the data to copy from the computer, defending the little hard drive, it threw me a fresh checkpoint the instant 4 guys rushed in two opposite doors and another started shooting at the hard drive directly. with a grenade at my feet. checkpoint system can be hairy.
i havent done much with the museum/gallery level yet but grab a gun off the rack and have people charge me. i'll play with that, and some spec ops, tmorrow.
mighty fine game.
Hey Kirk I had that problem at first too. It seemed that I would get halfway there and then a mortar would kill my ass. The way I finally got through it was to hug the left-hand side of the forest and run like hell. I didn't even bother trying to shoot people! Turns out I was literally 10 feet from where I was supposed to end up every time!
***Mild spoilers***
You're actually going to get hit by a mortar at the bottom of the hill which will take you to this kickass cut-scene. Hope that helps!
Or will it all end in a big bankiss orgy?
Anyone up for some spec ops action on veteran? on the 360, gt= xk3zofrenik.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
ill be on tonight mate.
i was looking for someone to spec op 3star veteran last night.
what time zone are you again?
AST without daylight saving time.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
Put this game in your Xbox and prepare both hands and a controller for an all night video game threesome. FUN.

I'm number 2!!
i really need to sit down and add your gamertags to my account. i'd hoped spec ops would have the ability to randomly match you with people, but i guess not. i've 3-starred three alphas solo but those things are nuts without a wingman. bravo and charlie are suicidal.
I did most of them solo. Up until Delta there's just a few in there that are almost impossible. You have to do so many things perfectly is just not worth the loss of hair. With a partner is pretty easy once you get the strategy right.
I just don't have a partner that has unlocked the ones i need. I am willing to help, but i end up doing more missions that i don't need and none of what i need.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
i get that coop is more fun with someone you know, but im a little bummed they dont have a matching system set up for xbox live like with the other multiplayer. it wouldn't be very hard to implement, and for someone like me who has always played online but has a friend list 3 people deep because i've ignored the feature, would make things easier.
yeah i agree. That was a major handicap in completing Spec Ops. I have 90+ people but they were all playing MP rather than Spec Ops. I even posted my tag on the xbox forums for finding people, and i added some but they were all playing the MP.
I guess once the MP dies out then it will be time for this. I finally got all the stars because my ex-neighbor helped me on the last two missions i needed.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
im just taking them in order, between mopping up the solo campaign levels i clicked down to hardcore on veteran the first go through, and multiplayer. i am having trouble soloing the bridge one right now- im find up until the bit where you're at the break and the attack chopper is above you, and if you make a run over the top its you vs eight smg's+grenades and the helo.
What i did is grab some rockets that are to your right when you go up, and jump back down and kill the chopper first before advancing.
You won't make the estimated time doing that, but you will be able to clear the mission.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
i searched all corpses up to that point for some rockets. are they up at the broken bit of bridge? i'll take a closer look next playthrough...
thanks mate.
yeah they are up there at your right in, like one of those blue sheets that has all the weapons laying around for you. You have to climb up to get them, and then jump back down for killing the chopper.
It might be left, because i may be mistaking it with the other mission that's also on that bridge.
If you keep having trouble just add me (gt= xk3zofrenik) it will be done fairly quickly.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
i found it. playing them solo has left me playing cautiously, checking every corner. slow paced, tactical. i'd just never run up that far until the chopper was close enough to blow me away.
i took care of it
i will add you soon though. i've got a lot of tags i need to get around to adding.
thanks again mate.
I'm making my way through the veteran campaign. Fuck me, the frustration! The Favela levels nearly put me to the mental asylum. Is it normal to die several hundreds times per level?
Don't rub my rhubarb.
The veteran campaign isn't so bad, if you play tactically.
What's agravating me beyond belief is that I've 3-starred a lot of the spec-ops missions solo but I can't run the pit in 35 seconds to save my life. I got below it once, but a civilian moved between two targets and all three went down.
I can't break 36 seconds without a civilian going down. It's a stupid bit to be hung up on.
I did good because when i got MW2, I spent the first night doing that first Pit mission over and over.
I thought like COD4 it would have leaderboards among friends so it would save my best time. After playing for 3+, finally gave up on a good time and searched for the leaderboards and there was none!
Needless to say it was a breeze in Spec Ops. In Co-op it can be tricky if you don't strategize who shoots what.
As for Veteran, take it slow and camp. Check your corners, etc. Favela is one of the few levels were enemies pop up unexpectedly. It's all a matter of dying and taking note of where you got shot from.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
im consistently one second over the limit on the pit.
one second.
if i had a mouse and keyboard it would be no problem. i'm just not fully used to the controller i guess.
but yeah, as for the game, play tactically. check your corners, scope things out, stop and listen for foot movement. breezy.
I beat it with the ACR and the M9.
I used the ACR all the way to the stairs in the house, before the melee i switch to M9. If you time it right, you don't have to reload at all.
I usually take more time with the ACR since it has less mobility, so the time with the M9 is to compensate for that.
Even by missing two to three shots you can still make it, however i doubt if you miss more you will make it in time.
Some people say you can run it with two pistols, but i haven't tried that.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
two pistols has been my strategy thus far, though avoiding the desert eagle because it needs to be reloaded more than frequently than the m9.
the only shot i tend to miss is one of the first three targets, and that's just because it takes me a second to dial in on the controller - old school pc gamer.
still, always a second or so late
balls.
what's your sensitivity?
I have mine on High. Might wanna switch to ACR then, if you fire in burst is hard to miss at close range.
If not. Co-Op.
Have someone else fire the first three while you rush then next area, etc.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
yeah, i saw you on last night but didnt want to bug you for something so simple. mostly im just frustrated at myself.
its such an easy fucking task, the others arent stumping me.
It's no problem for me. It won't take long. Last time i did it with someone did it on the first try.
Like i said the hard part is knowing when to run and when to shoot.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
I have mine on High.
I tried playing on high. The crosshair was spinning all over the screen like a demented insect. Did it take you long to accustomise to that setting, or do you simply have the reflexes of a cobra? I figure, once you learn to manage that speed you're going to grab loads of extra kills in this Wild West style "quick draw" shootouts that often happen in some of the more CQB-oriented maps.
Also, try upping the custom setting to its maximum, and see what happens! I swear Infinity Ward put that there for a joke.
Don't rub my rhubarb.
pit boss achievement down!
only missing achievements are spec ops starcounts and all intel items now.
how i can pit boss and still not run the pit spec op in 35 baffles me.
i've gotta say i'm quote pleased at how much spec ops mode adds to this game though. think i'll take a break and focus on multiplayer for awhile. you guys will likely see me bouncing round the servers more now.
Just popping in to break up the dude-fest to say that I love MW2.
Maybe one day I'll actually have my own online account instead of leeching off the old man's.
THATS what game you were twittering about playing and NOT RESPONDING TO ME ABOUT.
Well depends on your TV. I play on my 32". On my 52" is just insane. Can't play it.
The smaller the better.
I used to have it really slow for games like Halo 3, etc. However ever since ODST, the gameplay required you to be very fast for Firefight, so i got used to it.
I also played a lot of Borderlands which is a bit jerky as well.
Don't know i guess since i started it on Veteran, i just made a point of being as fast as i could be, that's why i spent 3+ hours on Pit Boss alone. I guess if i hadn't made a point of being it on Veteran on the first try, i usually beat my games on easy and then move up, that was the difference.
I got so used to it, that after finishing MW2, i went back to COD4 and finished Mile High Club (it took me 4+ hours).
I did come close when it came out (missed the final shot), but i was never as consistent in getting that far as i am now.
One thing i have to say is that playing the SP and Spec Ops regularly makes you a better player in the MP.
After not playing it that much my stats went from 2+something to 1.3-2ish.
I really want to play it regularly again so that i can have my reflexes back, and being quick to duck, etc.
Is just that playing the public is so different because you get too confident after getting kills.
There have been so many time when i am about to knife someone and he just turns around knifes me or shoots me.
but that's of course on the regular gametypes. On Hardcore, the gameplay tends to favor those who are more patient, rather than those who can aim the fastest.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
I responded I responded!!! (Just about two days late, though.) I added your tweets to my cell-notifications, that way I will
NEVER MISS A BERTOBEAR TWEET AGAIN!
:]
But yeah, that was the game. I got third like, consecutively 5 times, then ..... I won. And I took a picture of it with my phone, of course. AAAAannndd it will probably never happen again. But I don't think the boyfriend, his friends, or my brother are taking too kindly to the fact that they almost never beat me now. It's funny, when I started playing, Trey said, "Aww. It's so cute and great that you're not pouting because you're losing."
Who's pouting now?

it lets you keep going
