MMORPGs
Anyone play any MMORPGs? (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) Or intending to start?
I've played Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot and Star Wars Galaxies, they were okay but kinda addictive. I'm thinking of playing WoW (World of Warcraft) when it comes out.
If you don't play MMORPGs what games do you peeps like?
when did this place turn into dweeb central? or has it always been like this and i just didn't notice?

i want to play WoW, otherwise i don't like to pay for games on a monthly basis, i dont have the spare cash.
The cult is a MMORPG.

The Cult is kind of an MMORPG. Old-school style.
Random Thoughts - I use to play on Corbantis, but I haven't played in about a year or more. I'm gunna try WOW if I have the cash when it comes out.
Glamhoth - Yeah they charge to much
Grae - Isn't that out on the ps2 (think there is a harddrive requirement)? I was thinking about that one too, but I played Everquest Online Adv (beta2) on the ps2 and it just seemed to simple, but Square normally seems to get things right at least for me.

FF needs a harddrive to play on Ps2, but PC version will probably be better

I played Uru Live a little bit while it lasted, though it doesn't really qualify as "Massively Multiplayer." Cyan Worlds just announced [URL=http://plasma.cyanworlds.com/]Until Uru[/URL], basically community-supported Uru Live with no tech support and no promises. I just got a Kagi key last night and hooked up with a few different shards, but had some problems.
If it works out, it's cheap, one-time payment of $5 for a Kagi, but Cyan Worlds has only promised to run it for 1 month on a trial basis. The Kagi should be good indefinitely, but the plug could be pulled at any time.
This is a really good idea.
I wasted two years of my life playing DAOC. Those games are fucking evil and I'm glad I stopped playing my level 50 mercenary RR3 on Guinevere whom obtained two 99 qual Jambiyas and damnit to hell with my level 50 runemaster also RR3 on Percieval.
Those types of games will make you unhealthy, unattractive, and lame.

Ah, I'm on Bria, though I have a purple wookiee on one of the European servers.
I haven't played in 2-3 months, but I'll be playing the space expansion if I have the cash and the time (doubt I'll have either, but maybe next summer). The only thing is...everything has changed so fucking much!
Oh yeah, and it's barely been out for a year!

By the way, how lame is it that in an MMORPG if you're a female character you get hit in relentlessly? I could be 50 and weigh 350 lbs, for Christ's sake.

Random Thoughts - Yeah sorry about that, I mean it just feels like it's been that long. I played the first three months SWG came out and had 500k and a buncha of stuff and it was just too easy, so I quit. I think they made the appropriate nerfs to slow things down since then.

They're nerfing everything from what my brother says.
No big changes recently to Fencer or Musician, though, which pisses me off. They did make it so that Musicians can't speedbuff a few months ago, which is bullshit. Fucking game.
I wouldn't mind trying a MMORPGs, but after hearing all of this, I'll probably won't. I usually play first person shooters online all the time. i.e. counterstrike, DOD, Battlefield 1942, and Unreal 2004.
