this will be a day 1 purchase for me. I heard they will also release stuff for left 4 dead one as well.

These are great games, but very short. The first game had only 4 or 5 maps. Don't expect much more than that from the sequel. If you aren't one of those 'Day One' people I highly recommend waiting for a price drop since this title should hit the bargain bin pretty quickly.
Yes, they have hinted that there is some more content in the works for the first game, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I suspect that since they are almost the same game that any content that comes out for L4D1 will also come to L4D2.
They often have 1/2 price sales on this title via Steam if you have a decent PC.

Echh, how can you people play first person shooters? They're horrible! Like being Clockwork Oranged into your seat while you watch a double feature of Blair witch project and Cloverfield and having horse blinders tightly strapped to your head.
well i prefer sand box games to FPS. But FPS are fun and can get the adrenaline going, especially Left 4 Dead. You should try it. It is not that bad.
