HELP! Windows Vista Login Problem.

I'm stuck. This is what stuck looks like:
I can't even get the stupid thing (Hewitt Packard laptop) to boot from a disk because I'm so stuck. This isn't my computer, and I'm trying to fix it for a friend of mine, who doesn't know the password either.
Anyone have any ideas?

That's a BIOS password.
