I don't understand why they bother running commercials for this.
Does anyone thats going to get it not know it's out now?
As money-grubbing as most big businesses like to be imagined, you'd think they wouldn't waste all that profit on ads.

Why not make ads?
Not everyone with a 360 owned an xbox for the first two games, or maybe its the first some dumb little kid has heard of the series.

I'm not saying they shouldn't make ads, I just don't see why they bother.
yeah, there could be that one kid that hasn't ever heard of the game, or hell, even a hundred of them. But even if every one of them went out and bought a copy isn't going to make up for the moolah they dropped to run a commercial.

Mine is De La Weinstein.

no joke. Haven't touched the XBOX in the last couple days though. Been busy stressing out on women things and the such. Now that those are all leveling out I might jump on for a short spell in the evenings.

Yeah, its so bad that the Halo franchise has been the most successful game ever made, both finanfially and in popularity.

I think Halo is popular for all the multiplayer action, because the SP campaign is nothing special, imo.

Some of my friends were so impressed that I had never played Halo before that I decided to get the first one last week. It's pretty linear, and quite repetitive at times. The time you're following the Monitor inside that base, for example.. it's like you're doing the same battle 20 times.
Except for 3 or 4 open space battles during the campaign, you don't need much strategy, only a lot of ammo. Hell, you don't even need a strong sense of direction, with all the nav points and glowing arrows on the floor telling you where to go.

I'm not saying it's all that easy, I was playing on the top level and some of the battles near the end took me quite a few tries to advance, but it's just a matter of shooting-taking cover. Oh, it also took me longer because I really dislike the whole "checkpoint" system. I like being able to quick save/load whenever I want.

The game engine seemed nice, with you being able to interact with lots of stuff, use cars, tanks, ships, etc.. I'm sure I would've been a lot more impressed back in 2001 when it was released, but I can still recognize the good work.

Halo 2 is said to be much better. I hope so, I'm getting it later this month.
Any predictions as to when Halo 3 will be out for PC? The last console I had were a PSX and a N64.
