Google Chrome Rocks!
Even cooler is the comic book manual they released with it: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/index.html
Question: Is this the next step to the Google Thin Client OS?! Hehe, cause once Google Docs and other apps become rad enough, one won't need anything else on their computer except a good browser and a good internet connection which is anyways the trend now except for in certain third world countries... like I still just have a 2 mbps connection (maximum and most expensive in the available schemes).
I think Dell's done similar stuff using Linux on their BIOS (and promising a 19-hour battery life!)
I don't even like the 12" ones for that matter... For me 14" is optimal, not too small, not too big...
About Google giving you space, Gmail is 7GB, Picasa another 1GB and Docs also gives you another 1 GB... Other Google products are equally cool like the framework they provide for a social networking site, I've heard is really awesome. Google Books as well! They're like a good monarch right now but then its still monarchy
Hopefully someday somebody won't get drunk with power.
WiMax, totally different ballgame! Will change the way communication is seen forever! It will become the base protocol... but right now I don't want to trust the big promises Intel's making (they always make a lotta big promises)
Oh and also about Chrome skins... there's barely any space for the skin to be seen (yes though that rounded blue everything is sometimes way too clean and cute than I want to see a browser like, but I believe that right now they're just proving their open-box point, later on some open source freak will develop the skins.)
I am using Google Chrome right now!! I like it. I don't know all this fancy stuff you're talking about, Jugal and Damien. (<---Internet nerds...)

NERD ALERT!!!

it's all in beta still but i hope they go beyond just changing colors but also the buttons. maybe they'll take the same route with FF for mac, the whole browser (buttons and all) are suited to the osx environment.
Google chrome is alright. A few things I don't like about it but so far its good.

never thought about this but the incognito mode is helpful when you have more than one google / gmail account.

Chrome rocks!
not just yet for me though, i'm missing my adblock and stylish extensions for FF.
Fuck chrome! It's all about BLACKLE! Seriously!
Looks like Spunck's life is dull and pointless.
The fact that it doesn't have a way to sync bookmarks between multiple PCs makes it useless for me. Honestly, I don't understand how they overlooked the obvious integration with Google Bookmarks.
Also, the bookmark manager is terrible.
i wasn't even aware there was a bookmark manager, it's that bad. all it does is add folders and you drag the link yourself. so yeah, it sucks.
i've never really used google bookmarks, find no use for it really. i have google reader + google notebook for pretty much all the interesting things i find on the net. notebook's no evernote but it's good enough.
The integration will happen soon enough... give 'em time. They will integrate everything with the browser
And I just discovered it doesn't rock as much as I thought also... facing lots of problems within textboxes and the browser Gmail-Gtalk acts all strange and a sudden whitespace appears at the bottom of the page screwing stuff up. Would've taken screenshot, but I'm at work right now and the work PC doesn't have Chrome. Another textbox problem I'm facing is in Google Docs, if you triple click to select a line, it selects with one extra 'return' character. So copy-pasting becomes a little uncool... though I like how we can resize all the textboxes anywhere
I give Google Chrome another year to become cool and rocking... till then I guess Firefox 3.0 (and minor regular periodic use of Chrome to see how they've changed)
I'm trying chrome out today. We'll see... doesn't seem much different than Safari.

Okay, that makes it worth it.

In all honesty, Google Chrome doesn't seem to offer me anything that Safari doesn't have, and it's organized better on Safari.
So Mariah Carey theme or no, I'm going to pass on Google Chrome.

The Mac version is still missing some stuff that the PC version has that makes it a lot better than Safari. Once it gets all of that stuff in, I think it will be a no-brainer.
I've finally switched to it (the Beta release) on PC from Firefox because it finally has almost all of the things FF has, plus it is a hell of a lot faster.
Duly noted.

Someone I know, has a test google operating system!

chrome is cool but they need to come out with the mac/linux version soon and god, they need some skin support, badly.
it's not that inconceivable that google will be at the forefront of the wireless office. everything seems to be going that route with all their applications up in the air and massive server space. i'm still amazed that gmail has 7GB for every person who has an account and it's still growing. couple that with google gears + google docs then theoretically, you can work just about anywhere with an internet connection. this then makes netbooks a necessity since you don't need to lug around a high capacity bulky laptop but i wouldn't really sacrifice (easier) portability for a smaller screen real estate. i won't go down below 12" (i have an ibook now).
they also need to pursue that blanket wifi they've been planning, hopefully team up with the WiMax group. it's sad that japan is overtaking the US (well, almost every other developed country is, really) when it comes to staying connected where ever.
