Gmail...who wants an invite?

its heaps good, some NT people are handing out invites no sweat, but to all the dickheads joining NT just to ask for one, they totally deny.

and alex, gmail is a email service by google, with a gig of storage space

the only thing that has peeved me thus far, is Safari dont like it, at all.

its just the page load to access login/whatever

eg. on IE & Netscape i can access this page
and it offers downloads to upper versions of the
browser etc. i mean, even with that, my Netscape
still isnt a souped up as it needs to be but the login
etc does work. its strange. Safari does weird things
with page loads sometimes.

i need OS 10.3, im currently on 10.2.8, and were
doing a whole system upgrade once we get the new
machines in a month or so, so i dont want
to fuck around with what IT guy wants us to have.

how does one get onto Google's invite list? and is it even worth it? doesn't yahoo offer the same thing?

yeah its weird it doesnt always load for me on IE at work.. but if i use Mozilla its fine, and it seems to work fine at home... it could just be them taking a little while to make it compatible with all browser types

for 1 Gig of free email storage,

yeah theres no list, it just seems to give people who are already joined up invites to give to other people, but its random who gets invites and who doesnt .. weird..

list? someone has to send you an invite.
worth it? 1 gig of free space. i think so. also, you want to get in before all the good names are taken.

i have one, lovin it so far. Neowin.net (a forum i frequented before this one) has an ongoing list of people looking for invites (you have to have been a member for a few months) which is where i got mine.

does anyone know when the testing phase ends? will anyone be able to get it after this for free or what?

i don't get it... what features could gmail possibly have that outweigh the fact that they spy on your email so they can sell you advertising? gmail, by definition, is spyware.
