Games that need to come back, but probrably will not.
Think of the possibilities especially with todays game technology.

Mutant League (american)Football, favorite Non-Madden (american)football game of all time. Skeletons, trolls, aliens, super humans, robots all playing a deadly game of (american)Football including land mines, dynamite and pits of fire.
That game was great, man would i love to see an updated version of this. It was made by EA, so i know it would be cool.
For more info on this great game, see this.
I really wished they would update skool Daze for the new systems.
Also the old monkey Island is due for a re-release.
128 bit lost vikings
and battle toads.

yeaaa commander keen
I second Battletoads, and I add Elevator Action and Echo the Dolphin
wasnt there a bad dreamcast make of echo or something that killed any chance of it getting remade again?
i dunno, but that was a fun game, a remake would be interesting for that.
the 3 games that comprised my early computer (commodore 64) life were hardball:

shinobi:

and skate or die:

so hardball had constantly been updated every few years, and i lost track of if it was good or not. shinobi, yea, there was one or two updates to that one, but it kicked some serious ass back in the day. and skate or die, possibly one of the best commodore 64 games, i don't think there has been an update. one could say tony hawk would be a fair equivalent to an update for it, but the idea of skate or die, near perfect back in the day.
so yea, i'm talkin' old school games just now.
oh shit, not a console game, but the kinbg's quest series, i loved that series. There's an unofficial sequel coming up made by people on their spare time for free (kq9.org) but i want me a full fledged King's Quest game that makes up for 8

Shadowrun and Pirates Gold, the two games on Genesis that made Sega Channel worthwhile.

Anybody remember the game "ALTERED BEAST" on the mega drive, now that seriously desreves a remake.
Shadowrun and Pirates Gold, the two games on Genesis that made Sega Channel worthwhile.
There was a Shadowrun game for the SNES that was pretty good, pretty close to the Genesis game.
What?
YES Fino YES. I think I talk every day about the mutant league games. I agree with most everyone's suggestions. One of the COOLEST fucking games for the nintindo was little nemo...and I stand by that. Legendary Wings kicks so much ass as well.
I've played the SNES version of Shadowrun, didn't like it that much really, couldn't get into it.
Also, Altered Beast is getting remade, as is Pirates Gold! contrary to what I posted above.

back in 90's (don't know the exact year, I was a young lad), there was this racing game I would play with family while visting in California. WE rocked that game on the SNES whenever we decided to take a break from mario kart. 4-player action! It was this game;
