Final Fantasy XII
Well. I'm off to get it in a little bit, or when the shops open. Anyone know if there are any good strategy guides online. Because, as is usual when it comes to me playing Final Fantasy, I'll get half-way through, become unbelievably stuck, and will start again playing by the book. If there aren't any online then I guess I'll shell out for the official one, but whilst that looks nice, I'll end up reading it instead of reading proper books and playing the game.

Good call, those are the two best ones.
Corellion, as kakunn said, go to gamefaqs.com. They have all the guides you'll ever need, and then some.

my pleasure. That page help me a lot back on my PS2 days.
BTW the final fantasies on my list are
- V (tried it...but I really hate the job system)
- VI (love it, great storyline)
- VII (Sephiroth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
- VIII (the first I have played and my most loved one)
- IX (liked it and enjoyd it)
- X (I almost puke)
- X-II (I could not hold the puke inside)
Havent played XII, but it is made by the same team behind VAGRANTSTORY (one of the best games ever) so let me know if it is good (Balthier looks cool)
For FFXII I would recommend actually buying a physical guide book.
It's ridiculous how many times I have had to consult it.
Final Fantasy 7 was one of the world's wonders that shaped the way I grew up.
thanks for sharing.blackhawk tactical pants.

This thread kind of really makes me want to play 7 or 9 again, but does nothing in making me want to play 12 or any of the others.
Theres an age to play final fantasy, they mark your teen years and you just love those games for the rest of your life, the first final fantasy you play is like a revelation, you know games will not be the same after that one I mean every CG sequence is better than an ending sequence of "normal" games...
but I don`t have the patience to level up 80+ hours anymore...
Have anyone seen Advent children? I loved the graphics and the Battle scenes...but the story seemed a little weak.
