90's Lucas Arts games
Does anyone know how I could get my hands on games like The Secret of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and such and be able to play them on my pc? Is there some why do dload complete games somewhere? emulators or something maybe?

Lucasarts are still selling the games, so they arent just giving them up, but ebay doesnt look too bad, especially when the Lucasarts Archive packs are going for hundreds on Amazon.
You can play any of the games up untill Full Throttle on scummvm, even on your psp. I've got Sam & Max on mine
If you have to pirate, I'm sure you can find torrents super easy.

Cool, thank you.
i LOVED monkey island, but my favorite lucasarts 90s game was probably rebel assault II. That shit had mad graphics for its time. Dark Forces was pretty cool too.
Grim Fandango for me.

Day of the tentacle was the first game with real voices that I have seen.. I loved it immedialty.
Hey meatwhore, Its the internet here!.. you can have them anytime you want. If its the packages you want I reccomend you to go to used stores. they actually have great things they they don`t really know, at least around south america they do.
Full Throttle was a great game, but Grim Fandango was pretty much the zenith of point and click adventures. It's one of my favorite games ever. Manny and Glottis...what a team!
Are there any current games in the same vein of humour, originality and story out there ? A few years ago Discworld:Noir was very close. Not as technically perfect, but the Discworld setting and parodies of classic film noir were excellent.

I think they've given up on adventure games in favor of first person shooters and RPGs. Curse the world! They were on the verge of Full Throttle 2 when the whole industry shifted because of Half Life, Quake, etc.

Hey meatwhore, Its the internet here!..
the internet isnt the same net. well, it's the same, just much more. every turn is bogged down with more advertisement than you would find down walmart isles
im definitely not a fan of finding the obscure via online searching
just try and learn what gas mileage youd expect to find if you purchased an 85 chevy silverado: takes hours
well.. it took hours
on any given day, i have a strong hate for the internet. or perhaps i just loved it so much more before search engines loosely connected everything to everything else
was certainly a hell of a lot easier to find pretty much anything you wanted back in 2000 through oh-three
if your looking for a free game somewhere out there, youll find more spam than letters on the page

if your looking to buy from ebay, definitely cross reference amazon used: because some items sell considerably cheaper between the two
and welcome to the cult

Psychonauts is from the director of Monkey Island 1&2, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango.
You can get it pretty cheap on xbox or PS2 and the PC version has just gone up for free on gametap.com
Its more of a 3d platformer with adventury-funny-talky bits than a straight point n click.
The first two Broken Sword games from the late 90s are great. Not as funny, but very lucasartsish
The new Sam n Max episodes are pretty good. They arent made by Lucasarts anymore but they're quality little adventure games.
