Two beds

I was wondering, why are there two beds in Jack's room at the end of the film? It was when Tyler told him that they're the same person, in the hotel room. I couldn't think of why he'd have two beds. Maybe I'm reading too into this...

Maybe he asked for two beds so that in the middle of the night, after he had already used up the cooler side of the pillow, he could switch to the other bed and use the cool side of that pillow.
