The Tao of Fight Club
I'm writing a book called the Tao of Fight Club
I'd love to have any feedback or contribution anyone wants to give it
a few ideas to be covered....keep an eye out for it next month
1. A discussion of the degradation of quality living & the endless slavery of material desire.
2. A logical approach to the ridiculousness of our conceptions of value and happiness
3. A philosophical approach to the idea of living without material wants and a historical/sociological description of cultures that have
4. Letting everything go
You and Giggan would make a great team, new person.
I'll never let go Jack! I'll never let go!
Wait what kind of Duck?
Also New person, do a new person thread. It will help get a lot of the shananagins and dicking abouts out of the way.
There are questions that need to be asked before anything else can happen.
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
it goes like this...person x is brainwashed into wanting something the do not need, person x gets job and works really hard to obtain said object of desire, person x realizes working that hard is really stressful and starts to drink and smoke to cope, person x luckily gets healthcare to pay for the chronic lung disease and liver cirrhosis, person x has to keep on working now whether x wants to or not to pay for the insurance to stay alive to pay for the object....now the illuminati and reptilians and aliens have you right where they want you muawhahaha hehe ha

Trying to pass these off as individual points wouldn't even get you a B in a philosophy paper. A C, maybe. They can all be pretty much lumped into a single bullet labeled "non-materialism". I'm not even sure that was the main point of the story.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Sorry, that was mean. But yeah, the story kinda goes a completely new direction towards the end. I think your main point should be "People>Ideologies".
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Someone needs to write a book about the love story within Fight Club which is the main reason why the narrator is all fucked up. It's not about materialism, or project mayhem, those are merely distractions to help him forget that he's in love with Marla.
thanks for the comment, it does come down to the people and ideologies if you got any good quotes for fight club id love to hear them http://donttalkaboutfightclub.com/
the love story is the foundation of fight club, great point and eye opening ,thanks audrey , it changed up my ideas completely
You're welcome. Good to see you back.

Wanna buy a duck?
This is why we can't have nice things.
