Frankly, I'm not sure how happy I can be with what we may be getting as a sequal to this utterly masterfull film based on an even greater book. I'll see it just to see it, in order to give my two cents...but I wont be happy...I just cant...especially since we likely wont see Edward Norton as the narrator or Brad Pitt..come on..Brad Pitt IS Tyler Durden, hell he said it was the best role of his carrer, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to come back. In any case. I made this promotional poster for Fight Club 2 based on the new 'Take A Stand' X3 posters...WITH Brad Pitt...the way it should be...enjoy!

I'm sorry...I just hate sequals that dont bring the original cast back...plus, and I'm not racist, why would Tyler Durden's image change?

Well, I don't know if you caught this in the film or the book, but Tyler Durden doesn't exist and in this condition he can change his appearance at will.

Also, your posters just seem to be large pictures with text superimposed.

I'd like to see a remake of FC with Kevin Spacey as Jack and the guy who played Begby (sp?) and Hitler as Tyler.

Yes but Tyler is something "Jack" created, he made the look for him because Tyler is everything that "Jack" is'nt, he does what "Jack" can't. His image would'nt change to the chosen actor unless "Jack" suddenly wished he was black.

Anyway, I did like the addition od Davis Bowie's character, so here's a teaser with him, same basic character one sheet, but with Bowie. I'll also be doing one with Marla and "Jack". I'm also trying to think of a descent tagline, and out of boredom I may write a script.

all white people secretly want to be black
there even tv shows about this nowadays where the blacken up some white family for a weekend or something, i dunno i haven't seen it yet
anyway, the most important thing about tyler now is that he appears much older than the narrator actually is, so he fills that lost fatherly role

Thus, Martin Landau will star as Tyler Durden.

I am in the process of writting an incrediblly exceptable script outline for a sequal to fight club. Thus far I am extremley impressed with it and am writting it based on Brat Pitt and Edward Norton's return. I'll keep the masses updated.Smile Big

This is what I have thus far:
NOTE: This is ONLY a script outline!

FIGHT CLUB 2: PROJECT MAYHEM (OUTLINE)

J.HODGES

3/30/06

BASED ON CHARACTERS CREATED BY CHUCK PALHINUIK

Begin with the books original ending. Hazy as if the narrator is on meds. Fade into credits and then the title.

End credits and open in the room of our Narrator located in a mental ward. "Jack" sits on the edge of his bed reading a book. A suitcase sits at his feet. He is leaving, deemed suitable to re-enter society. A ward employee comes to tell him it's time to go.

Upon re-entering the "outside world" he realizes he's broke with no money or a home. He has only one option, to re-visit the Paper St. house. Upon arrival it is empty-- supplies are left from the 'space monkeys' but they are gone. The garden out back remains and in full. It doesn't bring back the best memories, but it will do.

Meanwhile the detective assigned to investigate "jack's" apartment incident is assigned to keep an eye on him until he settles in.

Jack decides if he's going to have to live in the Paper St. house he should try to keep his mind off the past. He begins to restore the house, clean it up. He also beins to look for a job. He works on the house all day and checks the classifieds at nigh while typing up resumes'.

While on an outing he notices things. News reports, television, signs and information around him, all of which refer to things similar to that of Project Mayhem operations. He ignores them.

NOTE: It should also be made clear he has to take a medication to tamper his insomnia.

While going through the basement Jack comes across several box's of soap, each box brandishing Tyler's soap comapny logo. He stacks them in a corner. He later attends a few job interviews. Things are going well.

Later he gets an estimate to install reliable electricity in the house; it costs much more than he can afford and he has not a clue as to how to pay it until he gets a job. Later he recieves a call from a beauty shop requesting a shipment of the Paper St. Soap. Jack informs them that the soap is no longer for sale until the electricity estimate crosses his mind. He knows how to pay for it.

Finding the best clother he can, Jack ventures out to sell the soap and continues to do so until it's gone, even finding himself using left over fat in the freezer until it's ALL GONE. He uses the profit to pay for the electricity installment and further repais to the house. The houses state slowly betters through out the film.

While at the dry cleaners we see Jack reading the paper. He glances up for a moment while turning the page and see's a woman with frizzy black hair at a dryer. He ignores it at first but then doubles back seeing her exit the cleaners. He gets up and walks after her. Outside he sees her farther down the side walk-- she turns a corner. He jogs after her but runs into another person on the side walk. He falls to the ground-- his meds fall from his pocket and open, falling into a near by storm drain. He turns the corner and she's gone. He grieves the loss of his meds.

He frantically calls his doctors attempting to refill his prescription. He is informed that the meds were not meant as a long term solution. He was meant to slowly ween himself off the pills until he no longer needed them, thus the meds could not be refilled. No good. Upon loosing his meds his insomnia resurfaces. At the same time one of his interviewers contacts him informing him that he earned another job as a recall agent for a larger corporation that that of his last job. He's back at square one.

Do to his insomnia, when he's not watching TV or over looking drawings and blue prints for the house he is making soap, and continues to do so until he recieves a steady paycheck.

While cleaning another room in the house he comes across a schedual. On it reads the names of several support groups and their meeting times. He debates returning. It MAY help with his insomnia--maybe.

NOTE: Incorporate a fued between Jack and his current boss.

He attends a few groups. It begins to help--maybe. We begin to see single frames of Tyler. He goes to one group later than it' start time, so he just stands at the door and listens. There she is, Marla Singer, the woman with the frizzy black hair. She is facing away from Jack so all we see is ciggarette smoke rising from her front side. He smiles and exits.

Outside he waits. He catches up with her but she refuses to talk to him. He reminds her that she entered his life at a very awkward time, she eases into a conversation. Jack talls her about the help he recieved and the meds he was formally on. She agrees to a night out and dinner to 'catch up' with eachother.

The night of the dinner he takes a nap before hand so as to reserve energy for the diner ahead with Marla.

At the resturaunt all goes pretty well. The narrator notices some waiters with shorter hair, bruises, cuts, and scars. One who brings them their drinks has a green smiley face tattoed to the upper side of his hand. Flustered, Jack excuses himself to the restroom.

He splashes water on his face in an attempt to wake up a bit. We hear someone walk in. Jack goes to a urinal to pee. Next to him we hear a voice.

VOICE: Nice food huh?

JACK: Yeah.

VOICE: Quality stuff--not tainted. Makes you feel safe to eat here.

JACK: Thank god.

BEAT

VOICE: Did oyu know your piss is steril?

JACK: I did NOT know that--

Jack turns to look at his single serving bathroom freind. There stands Tyler Durden.

TYLER: Yeah man-- You can drink it.

I'm thinking they probably already wrote the script for Fight Club 2. Try Fight Club 3, you might be the first one to do it and everything.

I dont care if they've already written fight club 2. I know if they have there's no way Mr. Palhniuk had ANYTHING to do with it...I would'nt...I'm writting it the way it SHOULD be done...

Surely then the way it SHOULD be done is Mr. Palhniuk himself.

Anyway, I don't like this script. So far there hasn't been enough Fight or Club, so take it up a notch.

I don't remember that. I don't remember much about the book at all really, which is kind of bad. I remember thinking 'Ah this bit is like the movie' or 'Ah this wasn't in the movie' a lot. I wish I'd read it first sometimes.

Exactly. The end of the book was written to seem as though "Jack" was in heaven...read a little closer and you'll realize he's in a mental ward. As for the Fight in fight club...this is still the very beginning of the script...more so it's not THE script as much as it is an outline. In my OUTLINE Tyler has just made his return. Things will begin to pick up very soon.

Hah, why in god's name would they make a second Fight Club, it's not exactly the kind of movie they could make a sequel about.

No, i mean the storyline, the setting, the characters, I just think it's not possible that any kind of plausable sequel can be made that would be accepted by anyone who understood the film or book.

'Sequels' not sequals.
And the thing that sucks most about sequels is when they sort of pretend bits of the first one never happened. I'm trying to think of an example but I can't off the top of my head. But when they ignore certain pieces of information from the original to make it fit their storyline - that sucks.
