Adäquat Translation?

Hitting bottom.
I think in the German it is called "Nullpunkt".
Can someone explain Hitting Bottom a bit (what the two words mean in english) or can tell if Nullpunkt is the right translation.
Would be nice.

not sure about the translation, but Hitting Bottom means losing everything, money and friends or whatever. basically reaching the lowest point of your life. could also refer to relationships, or all the bad shit in your life coming together all at once and you crashing emotionally.
