A remark by me - every is stopped
Hey guys,
you have helped me a lot if I didn't unterstood some quotes - here's my reward to you.
Today I made a discovery and I hope nobody else has found it out before - or if he did, I hope he didn't posted it.
But first of all I got a question. If you watch the Fight Club trailer, the narrator says:"Like many of you, I was stopped/stuck..."
What did he say, stopped or stuck?
And now to my discovery:
In the film everybody Jack meets working is bored. The guy at the airport, his boss, ...
All of them look bored, hating their jobs. Tyler is the only one who seems to be happy selling soap.
If somebody has an idea of a deeper analysis of this remark, post it. Mine would be it's an reflection to the society in which most of the people do jobs they hate.
its also in the trailer

Sorry but I didn't get the point. My english isn't that good. Didn't understood what you wrote^^
Brad pitt is also an extra as a waiter at a hotel that the narrator(edward norton) stays at near the beggining of the movie. You can see him on the screen of the tv on the right when all the waiters say "welcome". I was just pointing it out because i had never noticed it before. I dought this was any clearer.

Probably not. Funny that you added that though! You would probably need to define a few terms, including "extra". Also your punctuation and grammer could add to the confusion. However, I hardly think that explaining the Pitt easter egg to Fruendchun is worth taking English 1 all over again.
Think I got it, I'll check it later, got recently other things to do.
When you hear "Welcome" in the Trailer and the TV Screen with all the waiters appears you could see, that Brad Pitt is one of them, right he?

Yes. They mention this in the commentary with Norton and Pitt. You should watch that commentary. And the one with Chucky P and the screenwriter.

No need to apologize. I thought it was cute.:grouphug:

stuck
Also i just realized that when the narrator is sitting on his bed watching the tv at some hotel that im pretty sure jack is one of the waiters all the way to the right saying "welcome" Its about 18 minutes in and i thought it was cool how they snuck that in there but it still makes complete sense.
