Tour Dates - Stranger Than Fiction!

Emily Montjoy, Chuck's new publicist over at Doubleday was nice enough to mail me a pristine hardcover of Chuck's next book, the non-fiction anthology Stranger Than Fiction, in the mail today. I must say, this is probably the best looking cov read more »

Where Meat Comes From

Being a wrestler almost my whole life (since I was 6 up through college) and now a wrestling coach, this essay/short story/article really hit home for me. If you are not familiar with the sport, Chuck gives an amazing synopsis of what it means to be a part of the wrestling community. His desriptions of the self sacrifice, hard work, and brotherhood and community involved with wrestling are dead-on. I share this story with every former wrestler I know and I try to get the kids on my team to give it a read. Just dynamite stuff Chuck, thank you, wherever you are!!!

Just finished reading the book. I didn't like the beginning because it was more of a reporter's assingment. I wanted all the tripped out shit that I was sure Chuck had been through and I got it all at the end, after that blank, black page. I regret ever wanting all that tripped out shit. I feel bad. Guilty. Damn. Now I'm bummed. RIP Chuck's dad.

juliette lewis

the interview with juliette has me curious about where her wedding was. my fiance has been wanting a wedding like that forever. anybody know of a place like that? or similar to it?

Stranger Than Fiction--The Movie

This is my favorite essay of Chuck's. I know I can read it on the net any time I want, but I wish it was included in Stranger then Fiction so more people would read it.

Spelling Error?

Not to be a dick but . . . in the essay "confessions in stone" there is a spelling error on page 89. Chuck is referencing mtv's "Real World" and it is spelled out "Reel World". I wonder if this is a printer mistake?
