ok i need help understanding Diary.
ok first off i know that peter really did not love misty, and that he was gay and was going to run off with angel, but i dont understand the whole OAFF thing and why they were burning down the houses. and why did grace and harrow kill themselves in the fire? and the whole generation thing about how someone needs to marry someone to make the island rich?

Partly. He wasn't into their plan and he was probably going to screw it up. If they let him live, he would've messed up everything.

besides they were gonna to kill him anyways. Because the husband of the painter has to die... or fake his death, that in Peter case was not possible
I just finished reading this book, I had forgotten about it, and picked it up at Barnes and Noble a few days ago, finished it in a span of two days.What I gathered from the ending is that Tabbi set fire to Grace and Harrow as she described something like "I set fire to their clothes" as the cause of the main fire was told to be the fireplace... whether or not that's true and Tabbi just set fire to everyone else's clothes, I'm not sure, but I took as she setting fire to her grandparent's clothing.
