And why is this weird?
Well, you know, since I'll have the book almost three weeks before its release date, and all... Struck me as weird, what with the Fugitives & Refugees strict street date hullabaloo.

Um yeah. This could be really good.
Let us know if you really get it soon, or if the shipping estimates change.
I'm going on vacation and will be in a strange small city in Florida (probably w/ no real bookstore) when it comes out. With my luck I'll get lost going to a bigger city to find it. It would be so much easier just to get it now...even though I have no money.
Dont get too excited until you're holding the book between your hands. I ordered a copy of Donnie Darko on December 23rd last year and I got messages from them saying that it was being restocked and would be shipped by January 8th. I didn't get the thing till January 29th. They have no clue what's going on up there, I swear.

Yeah, I forgot that's happened to us before from Amazon. Oh well, it'll be fun trying to hunt the book down in a strange city
Yeah, Amazon sucks. I ordered the paperback Syrup and the paperback Lullaby. Syrup was already out, but they said they were going to send me Lullaby first, and that it would take until next year to get Syrup, even though on their web page it said they had copies of it!

Shipping date changed over the weekend. It now claims August 11 as the shipping date. That being today, i find it highly unlikely. Wonder what it will say tomorrow... But, yeah, I'm not getting excited until it arrives.
My amazon order said it should be here by the 8th...todays the 12th.
Alternative radio taught me to like the real me!
I was at a book store in NYC, and they told me that they'd have it by August 1st. Keep in mind this was on August 6th.
Every place gets some different date.
B&N told me they would get it on the 26th.
Today is 18 August 2003. I received my Amazon.com preorder just minutes ago. It's in my hands (except where I sat it down to type this,) and it smells wonderful...
Yup.
Mine shipped Friday. Arrived this a.m.
You've got to be kidding me Tuffy. I just called all my local bookstores, none have it yet. But you do.
Fuck you Amazon for your prereleasing shit.

Fuck you Amazon for your prereleasing shit.
I learned my lesson from F&R.
I almost pre-ordered it just in case it got here early. But me being 14 hours away from home starting Saturday didn't seem like a good risk
Oh well. The excitement part of waiting is fun too

And why is this weird?
