Can I have a summary please?
So, I'm working on a philosophy paper on Chuck and I want to include the Salon.com review in my criticism section but that means I would have to include Diary in my works section and I havent read it, could someone summarize the plot? I've tried to gather what information I could from other posts, but I'm afraid it is not sufficient enough. I would go out and read the book but I still have to write so much other stuff and I think it would set me back a few hours.
Please?
Guy loves guy but has to marry girl who is reincarnated painter. Guy dances with toothbrush inside asshole, but tragically ends up in coma. Girl visits guy in hospital and writes said Diary. Nearly everybody dies in a fiery conflagration. The End.
This is a really good idea.
even when the site was originally free, were there really this many people who didnt want to do their own work?

if memory serves me correct, yes there was
it just goes with the territory
whats with all the newbs coming n and asking us to do their homework for them? even when the site was originally free, were there really this many people who didnt want to do their own work?
like... its a good book, youll like it, read it yourself, dude.
Yes, but now there is some lame-ass story about how come there is a 24hr deadline. I would be more compelled if they at least put some effort into that part of it, something like...
Oh my God! My professor is a totally derranged psycho! I mean, I'm in bed with my girlfriend, and this rock comes through the window, there's glass all over the place. Then this guy climbs through the window, I don't know shit about guns, but he's holding this big fucking gun with a laser sight, and it's pointed right at my head. Then he grabs my girlfriend in a headlock, and he's pointing the gun right at her head, and I'm thinking oh shit, he's gonna splatter her brains, but then he rips off the ski mask and I see it's my professor. He says, "I'm taking this stinking monkey meat with me. You have exactly twenty four hours to give me a plot summary of Diary, or I'm going to fuck her brains out. You hear me?"
This is a really good idea.

I'm sorry, I would have read it by now but my library doesnt have it yet, you see, I'm the reader that will read one book and set out to read everything else written by that author. So far I've read all of Palahniuk's fiction except for Invisible Monsters, Diary and Haunted but I have started Invisible Monsters and Haunted.
I'm sorry for my noobness
meatthinker: this isnt for college, its for my 10th grade world studies class, which aside from this 40 page essay is pretty fun
Is it really that short? I thought it would be longer, like Survivor length

Getting a summary from random strangers on a website can be a dangerous thing. Why not use the summary from the Salon article in that case? Though I have to ask, can you even include a book in your "works section" that you haven't read?
I totally forgot about the summary from the article
Yeah I really was supposed to read the book but its not available to me and I need to fill pages by talking about the article
So.. you asked the members of this site to help you cheat basically. Not cool, not cool at all.
Diary
Chuck's latest novel takes the form of a coma diary written from a protoganist who slowly starts to realize her entire life is shrouded in some larger conspiracy. By far one of Chuck's saddest, more atmospheric, and mature books to date.

Diary Summary:
go to google and type in "chuck palahniuk diary summary"
I just did it and got results that look just fine.
next time do your own homework unless the assignment is plowing a classmate who's at least a 4.

i hate having to be set back a few hours to accomplish something i might think is worthwhile too
