Who's you favorite character?
Who's you favorite character? And most of all, why? 'Cause, besides Paige, there is not one really attractive character... I do mean the mean characters, not the addicts and stuff, just the mean characters

It's been awhile since I've read the book, but if my memory serves me right, I'd definitely have to agree w/ Highjinx... Denny.

Probably the narrator Victor Mancini probably because of how he pulled through everything. The second he realized he really had nothing, he just started up again.
There are 10 types of people in this world, those who know binary and those who have friends
Dennis
and a little bit of paige for the her being a crazy nut and all
Vic. The others are amazingly cool too, but Victor has this insane amount of charisma and wit. He's by far the most intelligent and compelling character.
Denny's cool too, but more because of how he does things than what he does. He made me laugh out loud quite a few times.
Paige, well, Paige was The Girl (tm). More interesting than Fertility, but still not nearly as amazing as Marla.

I love Victor, mostly just because he's an shmuck, but because of the way Chuck wrote him, I actually care about him. He's hilarious, too.
And Denny is close, because, come on. He's great.
I told you! I spent last summer with my uncle hunting wolverines!
This has definitely become my favorite of palahniuk's work, but the funny thinf is that there aren't many characrters to latch onto and actually like. Denny (like Chuck says in the documentary) is the one who i feel the most compassion for, but i still think victor is my favorite. He's so loathsome in his actions, but, man, is he a great character. He's sort of like a sad ending to a movie - not exactly what you want, but what you know is right.
"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
-The Great Gatsby"
"I'm breathing so I guess I'm still alive/
even if signs seem to tell me otherwise."
-Tool, "Prison Sex"
Paige, was my favorite character even before it reveals she is just a nut.
After that: Denny, i like that he sort of changer through the book.
and Victor i empathize with him but not really like that much.
So...We are still going to die. Right?
Okay.
Well, I find myself (as usual) liking the narrator most.
I can't help it.
It's, just, being inside their head for the month or however long I read the book.
So, yeah, Victor.
And I really DO feel for him. The end nearly made me cry...
And I'm a hard man.
Denny is not only my favorite character in Choke, but in all of chuck's books

I feel the same way about Victor.
Except maybe the Tyler/Tyler combo.
I guess I like Victor. Denny's great, but Victor's the best character for my money. I think it may be the passage when Victor spouts out the lines from a sex addict handout - all the things that you might do if you are a sex addict. It asks if you do any of these things toward the end, and Victor says something like, "Well, I do now."
That just did it for me, my favorite quote from the entire novel. I'm getting off topic, but Victor said it, so that's one reason he is my favorite.
my favorite quote from the entire novel.
I liked "I thought you meant this other rape."
Anyways, Denny and Victor were both really funny, and I had empathy for both of them.
Victor's mom was pretty interesting, too.

I agree fully with this.

Denny, and the young Ida Mancini.
Denny because of how later on he just does stuff without really knowing why. And Ida because of everything she did when she was younger.
"Hell is other people." No Exit, Sartre
Victor Mancini.
I just found his wit and ideas, as well as the character development they go through in the novel, completely fascinating. and how he is after all the storm, in the ending, well, it's not something i could ever have expected or imagined, his ending was a loved surprise/epiphany.
"It is not reason, more or less furnished, but will that makes the world march"
I am alone.
