Frankenstein
Hi!
I was writing a review of Choke for my website when I realized there are some references to Frankenstein in the story.
- The name of Victor (Frankenstein).
- The XVIII century theme park. (ok, that's a lousy one, Mary Shelley was victorian XIX, a century later).
- The gathering of heroes to kill the monster at the end of the book.
maybe just coincidences, maybe a postmodern Prometheum. what do you think?
sorry for my crappy English, and thanks for the correction. I'm not an English speaker and I need to improve it!
my website is private and just for a bunch of friends, so I'm not writing for a newspaper or book review site. I just noticed that coincidences when posting my review on the book and wanted to know if maybe someone else thought about that.
now I know it was just my imagination running wild and I can stop looking for more resemblances and focus on his next book.
thanks for your answer!

Frankenstein!

Post-Modern Prometheus, not Prometheum. I definitely think it's just coincidences, and not very strong ones, either. Sorry... What's your website though?
