Simulacrum in Palahniuck Novels???
Hello Cult Members!
has anyone noticed how many simulacra there are in Chuck's novels?
all through invisible monsters, fight club and choke, there are all those references to 'copy of a copy of a copy', or 'we're all such products', or even ''bravery''s not the right word but it's the first word that comes to mind'.
does anyone have any idea why this is so?? has chuck ever mentioned it in interviews or something, i can't find anything on it.
yes, this is for a school thing.
thanks for any help!
"Find what you're afraid of most and go live there"
More than just American. I think he refers to the safety that the 21st century ensures you, therefore you never get anything "real" in your life. Well, that and the whole materialism/our lives are meaningless and artificial thing. I think.
I don't know why this is in the Invisible Monsters section However, i think it would be more appropiate in the "Author" Section.
"It is not reason, more or less furnished, but will that makes the world march"
I am alone.

Welcome to being American. :P I think this is just a commentary on how just about everything in our lives is artificial and copied. Check out Simulacra and Simulation for more info (if you haven't already).
