i've had a vision! the opening scene, a long road cutting through the desert like a sidewinder, the camera follows the road from high above, then spots a car. it quickly pans in to the car containing our heroine (jessica biel) she's taking a few pills. all to red eyes and tears by the black rebel motorcycle club. genius i tell you.

Camera on Brandy's chest, as from behind/below the camera a bullet approaches. It hits Brandy, she falls down, as the camera slowly moves back to where the bullet came from. Quickly turn around to see Evie's gun, Evie's face, she's panting, shot of her torn/burned dress, fire all around her. Focus on Brandy's eyes, as she slowly looks up to Narrator (won't spoil name here), shot of Narrator's eyes, Narrator's face close to Brandy's, Brandy's lips whispering, "do you love me?".

Our first real coherent shot, Evie still standing on the burning stairs, Brandy bleeding, Evie taking a few steps backwards, Manus' voice in the background as he's moaning and panting. We can't see Narrator's face yet. Brandy says her Brandy-ish lines, about dying and everything, camera behind Narrator as Brandy asks her to tell her everything. Voice-over of Narrator, fade to black, cue ineedtherapy's vision as the opening credits appear.

Solle most definitely is a bloody genius.

And "Red Eyes and Tears" is a great song, so I say that it can play. Is that good enough?

I don't think anyone's going to say no to sodomising, arrest, and boobies, right?

i really think red eyes and tears would work well in this.
Jessica Biel should play the leadrole of the narrator.
she seems up for anything, i.e texas chainsaw....

Jessica Biel in my opinion isn't hot enough. Maybe that's just me.

I just think that she's weird-looking. I mean she's decent, I suppose, but I probably wouldn't fuck her unless I had at least 2 drinks in me. Ah, I'm too damn picky.

i didn't used to find her HOT until i saw texas chainsaw....
i dont think she's weird looking though.
she's got a good jawline on her and that would be ironic for this movie

True, she does have a good jawline, which would be nicely ironic.

I didn't see Texas Chainsaw...lol, I wasn't 17 at the time and didn't feel like going through the hassle of sneaking into a movie that I didn't really want to see in the first place.

Anyway, there are hotter people and that was my point.

who are your suggestions?
i think that this would be the best film adaptation for a chuck novel.

I think it would be the best film adaptation too. It should be nice and graphic.

Hmm...actresses. You know, Charlize Theron would totally work, I think. She's a fucking brilliant actress and she's hot, right?

I actually dig the Fiat Spider. I can see them all riding around in it.

Uma Thurman could actually do a good job as Brandy. But did anyone see the movie Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Numar? It's surprising what hollywood actors can play drag queens and play them well!

I think Johnny Depp could strut something wonderful

Oh! Johnny Depp most certainly could. That would be most interesting as well. However, I don't think he's tall enough. =(

the story of Cuban poet, Reinaldo Arenas- with Javier
Bardem and Depp. Depp cross-dresses.

He also cross-dressed a lot in "Ed Wood"... but while I'd never doubt Depp's acting, I don't think he'd be a good Brandy. His face is all wrong.

Johnny as Manus? I can see it, but I sure as hell wouldn't like it. I actually can't think of anyone the appropriate age to play Manus. I think Viggo Mortensen would do a hell of a job if he were a decade younger. =(

More ideas...

During the second half of the ending credits, the four main characters should appear in the background, in different outfits. A bit like the OP of Sabrina, only much less childish. So first we have the narrator showcasing some nice veils and hats, then nothing for a while, jump to Brandy in different outfits, nothing, Manus looking handsome, nothing, and finally Evie in bikinis and sexy outfits, jump to Evie in a wedding dress. It should be glamourous, feminine, over-the-top, but still very much in the background. I'm thinking maybe something similar to the official FC website. Also, it would be nice for each char to have their own theme song during the credits... it probably wouldn't work, but it's still a rather fun idea.

So, I'm thinking:
Narrator: "Don't speak", No Doubt
Brandy: "Cherry Lips", Garbage
Manus: "Bobby Brown", Frank Zappa
Evie: ... alright, I'm at a loss here. A song for Evie?

Problem of course being that these songs have nothing to do with each other... lack of style...

Anyway, it's just a random idea, might not work at all.

I just had a Vision (tm) for the final scene and ending credits.

Hospital. Shane unconscious, naked, Shannon standing next to him. Shannon says her lines, then softly kisses Shane either on his forehead or on his lips. As Shannon walks away, we hear her voice-over (as the camera slowly focuses on Shane's face): "Completely and totally, permanently and without hope, forever and ever I love Brandy Alexander. (...) And that's enough."

Camera stays focused as the music starts: "Look out, there's a monster coming" by Vivian Stanshall. The hands of the Rhea sisters appear, we hear them chatting softly, as they turn Shane into Brandy. Music gets louder, until in the final few lines of the song Shane looks like Brandy and slowly opens his eyes (I'm thinking purple eyeshadow), smiles sweetly. Fade to black as we hear Stanshall sing the final line: "Look out, there's a monster coming". Credits roll with some Danny Elfman music.
