Survivor- Psychology
I'm sorry if this is annoying/ seems a little dim...
This is my first year taking a psychology course and I love Survivor so I decided to make it the basis of my summer essay
I knew it'd be a good choice because it has a lot of psychological ties
But the essay need to be somewhat in depth as to what sort of psychological content is covered
I'm familiar with the book, but not so much psychology
So, I was just wondering if anyone could help
I've spent most of the paper so far talking about the effect of fame and media on Tender Branson and how he was led to suicide
But, I know there's more to be discussed and I was just hoping for some suggestions
Thank you
hey, thanks a lot, that really helped... I guess I just hadn't thought of it from that angle
I think that another psycological thing to look at with this novel is identity. It seems that throughout he entire novel Tender is trying to find his identity since when the Creedish church collapsed, everything he built his idnetity around collapsed.
"It does not matter. The joke is we all have the same punch line."
Tender Branson
"Survivor"
HE DIDN'T COMMIT SUICIDE.
Go to the survivor book part of this website and find the part about the ending, that'll explain it.
Hi !
i am new in this forum and i want to learn from here.
so i wish you guys will help me.
Thanks.
Fuck you right in the face!

But, ultimately, do you really think he was led to suicide? Maybe those elements are what might lead "one" to suicide, but not our hero, being the survivor that he is. . . I think the more interesting angle psychologically would be how Tender manipulates the medium of the black box *SPOILER* and his prerecorded voice that's speaking to it on the plane's descent *END SPOILER* as a storytelling device of revisionist history, creating an image of what kind of deceased and sympathetic character he wants the listener/reader to think he was, rather than the one who may or not be a murderer and is off to live happily ever after on some island with his pregnant psychic girlfriend.
