misprint??
I am currently reading this novel and a chapter and a half are repeated. I am missing p. 141 - p. 124. The novel repeats p. 173 - p. 158. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions on what to do? It was a Christmas gift.
I cannot figure out how to do this. I took pics with my digital, but this chat system won't allow me to post them. Sorry.
I think someone posted about this before. it's just a printing error. I'd say take it back to the store for a good copy if you still got the reciept.
Keep it. That makes the book even more awesome. How many misprinted books do you own?
it doesn't increase the value or anything plus you don't get to read the entire story.

I don't think you/ a person should keep it for the monetary value. I think it's just one of those really neat things that you don't always get another opportunity for.
I think I'll buck up and buy a new book this weekend (no receipt.) I can't wait to finish it!! Thanks!

Is it still in relatively good condition? I'd take it back to the store and tell em it was a christmas gift and you want to just exchange it for another copy. if you explain it took you till now to get to page 141 they might hook you up and then you can use the money to buy another chuck book to read next.
I had the same thing happen to me. I just thought the book was supposed to be like that though! I'm bummed now that I know i'm missing out on some stuff!
i wish i had a book like that. i get what you mean by keeping it and just getting a new one. that's pretty rad.
hope you finally got to finish it after this long!
Hi,
I always thought it was meant to be there? I thought it was a clue that its a tape recorder. Glitches in the recording or the narrator losing his place and repeating himself.
I couldn't see how it wouldn't have been picked up by the publisher at some point. BTW, I work in publsihing I know typos do happen (bad ones), but they eventually get spotted and fixed.
Been ages since I read it, but if its just a typo it totally blows my theory. Do they appear in every copy? Mine is UK paperback 2003.
Cheers!
Wow kid. I'd keep the book. You really don't come across many typos like that. I just finished the book myself
I have a misprinted one.
Vintage Books- ISBN 0-099-28264-X
End of page 24:
All the world's major religions, the Catholistics and Jews and Baptists and whatall,
are saying, We told you so.
Start of page 25:
balance and her face...
End of page 34:
And we crash head-on into the concrete wall.
Start of page 35:
crete pylon, just a square gray column of concrete rises from....
I think, it's clearly misprinted, isn't it?
