i'm pretty sure in male bonding group you dont invite women.

Project Mayhem is not the same thing as Fight Club.

Mabe it's just because the beatin the crap out of each other need is more of a male testosterone thing. Plus it's make issues like can a man and woman fight? And arn't a lot of the members from the mens testicular cancer support group anyway. It's not as if a guy would invite a woman along to a Fight Club either.
But you'd think Chuck would have laid it out a but clearer seeing as he tackles everythign else pretty much head on.

Well yeh.
Looking back I do sound an asshole saying that, but why shoudln't that be a question? Men and woman have different physical abilities, and tho the fights arn't about winning or losing, it would leave some women out to get seriously thrashed in a fight by the stronger guys. I mean you wouldn't let a boy into fight club, because he'd get obviously hospitalised up by a man. Or a guy might feel he has to "go easy" on a girl as he has to be a "gentleman".
Which would be unbearably patronising.

For the record i'm female, so i can't be sure if I'm being sexist agaionst myself here or not.

It could be much, much worse. However, I will restrain from putting up suggestions.

I get it, it's cool, but in my defense I know a lot of guys I could smash to pieces and I know a lot of guys who could smash me to peices...but if I volunteer for it, I sure as hell should know what I'm getting myself into, right? And I'm a boxer, and once you're in the ring nobody really gives a shit what gender you are. If they don't hit me, they know I'll deck them...no gentility in sports, I'm afraid.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for equality, I'm all for feminism, I'm all for women doing whatever they want and being entitled to do everything that men do.

However, I think that women have no place in Fight Club. That's the whole point. It's about men getting down to their most base, animal instincts. The fact that it makes a point that they are a generation of men bought up by women - they want to break free from that, to have something for themselves. Marla, being the only female (main) character, was perfect because she isn't a typical woman, This is why the narrator takes to her I think and this makes her presence in the story even stronger.

To allow women into Fight Club and into Project Mayhem woula have negated the whole thing.

And that is from a female perspective.

A little quote about the movie "Fight club was the begining, its now moved out of the basement an its called project Mayham" Tyler Durden

And the reason their was no woman is because Tyler hates what they have turned men in to. "I really dont think another woman is what we need." How could he have said that and have a bunch of girls running around his house?

Marla was only a sex object "Its not about love but about ownership" Jack. To Tyler at least. And he was the one colling the calls until the end.
