I really don’t know quite how to ask this question but I guess ill try my hardest.

If tyler’s opinion on life was to pretty much not care about anything at all, why was he doing human sacrifices?

Like, he pretty much didn’t care for money or clothes or cars or anything like that, but he told Raymond to go back to college. Why?

He was cutting through the bullshit. Boiling it down to what really mattered.

I think he wanted people to wake up from their useless boring daily routine. This guy, Raymond dropped out of school cause he didn't feel like studying, therefor being stuck for the rest of his life working at a convenience store. Working jobs we hate, so we can buy shit we don't need Numbing down in front of a television, swallowing every word it spits out. Remember the guy from Saw. He got diagnosed with cancer. From that moment on, he got to take a long hard look at his life This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time The scene at the back of the convenience store was Raymonds realitycheck. Tyler did him a big favor. Waking people one at a time. Everyone always wants more, better, faster, etc. Thats the reason we'll never be in economical balance with the rest of the world. We envy those people getting their cars pimped and their boobs upgraded. People in 3rd world countries starving to death, cause we care more about wearing designer clothes, flushing money down the toilet like we don't give a shit. The last scene, where Tyler is about to erase financial history, I think thats an attempt to get back to that balance. Forcing people to see what matters. The weird thing about nature disasters, is that everyone al of the sudden forgets about their economical/ religious/political differences. Team up against the forces of nature. So this whole climate crisis could be our realitycheck from nature, to cut the crap and see what matters.

Don't be immature, Tiba. This problem occurs with anarcho-primitivism. In anarcho-primitivism, it's not like you can all of a sudden de-industrialize, you have to accept that life would be better without industrialization and accept that there's nothing that you can do about it, unless you want to become a mountain man. Really, all you can do is live your life, maybe go out to the wilderness every now and then (I do every few weeks) and just enjoy the fact that suburnan sprawl hasn't gotten everything. And maybe you could make an impression on someone, and they'll see the less obvious imperfections in society, and you can both be mountain people.

People need a little shock value to wake them up. It isn't until cancer, or divorce, or some guy puts a gun in your face that most people even take a look at what matters to them and what is just them being a sheep.

Tyler is just trying to do something about this world, He can't make all the world join project mayhem so he acts. Just imagine why tyler IS there, Jack (Narrator) was sick of the life he had, so he just wanted to find a way out! He is not bored anymore, feel strong and wants to change these things in life. Like putting pornography in movies to see other interesting opportunities, The same Raymond thing. Tyler is not a god, he (Narrator) is trying to change life...
