Project Mayhem Hit My Copy of Fightclub
I just picked up a copy of Fightclub, and discovered that Project Mayhem had struck! The last 50 pages are actually from a completely different book.
Someone suggested I should post this here. Here's a scan of where the book takes a turn for the worst. As you can see, it's a pretty cool place to end the story...

Wow! Different font from a different story. Bonus points to whomever can identify the story on page 369.
It's from a book called The Undomestic Goddess. A guy on the original forum I posted this to identified it (he claimed his wife read it, but who knows
).
And it's not just that one page - it's the rest of the book.
It's written by somebody shit anyway.
I'd sell it on ebay, or actually...
If I were you I'd get it signed by Chuck, then ask why the last few pages are so weird and feed him this crazy ass theory that Melissa is Tyler and all that shit, then when he's all speechless just say, only joking, I've read the real book, but isn't this fucking weird?

If I was a ruthless dick, I would offer to send you a "good copy" in exchange for the book. Don't sell it, or at least get it signed first! These kinds of goof ups can be very valuable, especially if you get it signed by the author.
If you are a fool and it really upsets you, you can take it back to the book store where you bought it and they should give you another one, or you can call the publisher and explain why you were not able to return the book, and they should ship you a new one for free. But if you get it signed then sell it, you could probably buy a several copies of whatever with the money you make on it.
This is a really good idea.
is it pretty obvious that someone just cut and pasted the pages into the book? or is it a professional looking job at least?
also, was it the hardback or paperback?

It's a printing error - it's printed on the same paper and the binding is perfectly intacted. You wouldn't notice the difference unless you actually flipped to the back of the book.
And it's the an Australian paperback edition.
hold onto it,
get it signed,
keep it a million years,
make a million yen
espically if it's actually pressed that way, that is where the money is at in them there collectible books
Seriously... you need to keep it. And I agree with the poster who said to get it signed by Chuck.

WELL?!?! Don't keep us in suspense! Who makes the coffee?
