by the way, was I the only one to see and read Fight Club as basically a statement for why anarchy doesn't and wouldn't work ?

I thought Fight Club was an allegory regarding the pitfalls of starting your own business.

Nathaniel, as sad as i am to say it, but 99% of me agrees with that. anarchy wouldnt work. know why? people are too chaotic and power hungry. hungry for money and material possessions. this is where dumping the ikea nesting instict comes into play. lose material possessions and devote your life to philosophy and finding the truth. the truth about life and how your existance is important.

beleive me, ive thought about how hypocritical it is of me to even be on this computer right now, but if i had the chance id give it all up if it meant living life on my own terms. wether that means seclusion or being around the people who share beleifes with me, ill accept either one.

the reason anarchy would never work is because if it was in place the only thing you got is yet another staus quo, albeit a looser set of rules for it, rules none the less
someone is always going to disagree with someone elses idea of what ought to be done or not done
It didnt work in the caveman days it wouldnt work today either

part of me not having the chance is not having the money to get a plane ticket to peru or some shit and make a little shack in the mts, part of it is me not being able to survive on my own cause america is a spoonfed society, and another part of it is a small part of me holding on to a normal life.

but i am still trying to instill the id3a that "normal" is just a setting on one's washing machine.

yes, nathaniel, i can accept that. but if you think about what it would be like just to live free from rule or law, but still having somthing like the golden rule enstilled into every1's minds....it seems heavenly. i know it wont work, but the idea of it is so grasping that I, as well as others, want at least somthing like it. if not for the world then at least for ourselves.

Go wash dishes or wait tables for a couple weeks to save up money for airfare.

Alternately, start 'spanging.

apology accepted. So lets turn a new leaf in Project Mayhem.

I say let us never be without paper rock scissor.
I say that I said what this fucker is saying that he heard some guy who said "you're not your fucking khakis." and thought he could be something unique.

You know lets really do some damage to all of these haters of us that hate those same people for hating us in their Iqea nesting instincts. Brad Pitt will do the sequel ! Keep writing that script of yours, it is fucking amazing! You have a future in scriptwriting with a talented use for writing sequels. You know me and a buddy are talking about working on a sequel to Brokeback Mountain....maybe you're personal experience could lend a hand and you could also help with the script.

"Spange" is a portmanteau of "spare" and "change", and refers to the act of asking for spare change.

or just some one that engages in the act of spanging

Dear SpaceMonkeyWannaB,

Thank you for sharing with me (and everyone else) what your goals seem to be. That was good of you. I appreciate it. Thank you.

Now, to blow your mind just a little bit, let me ask: what difference is it to have everyone behaving the way YOU see the way the world should be (i.e. no currency, we all trade donkeys for blowjobs or whatever), and the way it is now? Aren't both just variations on the same theme? That theme being, "this is the way I believe people should live?"

If you're brave enough (i.e. if it won't threaten your worldviews, which I respect), you really should check out some books by a guy named Daniel Quinn. His most famous book is about a dude who wants to save the world, and ends up having this mindblowing conversation with a two-ton, silverback gorilla (who is kind of like Tyler Durden). A couple of his books titles are, "Ishmael" (that's the name of the ape), and, "Beyond Civilization: Humanity's Next Great Adventure."

And while it would do Daniel a deep disservice to try to sum up his life's work in one pithy quote, here I am, doing it anyway. A big part of what his books are trying to say is:

There is no one right way for people to live.

And, you want a world where money doesn't matter, where people live according to laws that have worked for people (like they still work for monkeys, fish, plants, etc) for almost 4 million years? Well, there are tribes of people still like that out there. And another thing Quinn talks about is how it should be our responsiblity to protect those people, and see that where they live, and how they live, makes it in this world... no matter what.

Becasuse we're - no doubt - we're killing ourselves, and killing this planet. But they'll keep at it... growing and evolving, without our support, like they have been for years. And the new story, Quinn says, that we need to tell, is one where we're their protectors. Making sure that their corner of the world stays unharmed. No matter what.

And, I have to agree with him. And I really feel that that story is a much more fun and rewarding one than the one which we're living now (i.e. the destroyers of the world, hurtling us towards the end of days).

And, Spike: it's nice to know someone else maybe saw the "small business" story side of Fight Club. It's funny, but I actually saw it as a testimony for the benefits of running a small business, living your own life and being your own boss, etc!

I was thinking of like lay-away blow jobs as concolidary(sp) payments before laying out your crotch or ass for the final installment.
