I was at a party on Monday night and we stayed up to watch Fight Club. When I watched it for the first couple of times I was completely mesmerised by it (having not read the book and knowing what it was about at this point), but because it was late and we were really enjoying ourselves we all ended up finding it really funny. I saw the entire thing in an entirely different light, and it's all the better for it. So I say, thank you Fight Club, thank you Chuck Palahniuk, thenk you David Fincher, and thank you late night with many frineds to lie on and with!

It's as dark as a dark comedy can get.

well the thing was, the first few times i watched it i was taking it soooooo seriously, but when i watch movies or tv or whatever with friends i tend to laugh more, so because there were friends around and it was late i laughed really loud at some parts, like the bit with the birds' laxatives (hehe) or the bit where Tyler says Bob's death is just 'breaking some eggs to make an omelette'

I love the moment in the movie, in which the Narrator quotes a book ("I'm Jack's...) and Tyler is on a bike... He circles trough the house, and when the scene is done, he falls over some mess... hilarious!

I have definitly laughed out loud to every one of chucks books...my favorite scene wasnt even in the movie but good nonetheless ...is where Marla tells a person trying to buy an urn that she could never get his fat ass in that tiny thing or something like that.

I laughed a loy during fight club. Mostly at the little things, like the look at Jack's face when he's thinking about how it was really him that has having sex with Marla.

I LOVE the look on the Narrator's face when Marla says, "... apart from you being dynamite in bed..." or something like that.

He smiles for a moment, then realises what's going on. It's so funny!

"great in the sack", iirc...

Fight Club is hilarious. Have always thought so. I still maintain that Chuck writes romantic comedies.

Ive read all of Chuck's books but the travel guide and each one made me laugh...not just laugh...REALLY laugh multiple times. As far as fight club the movie is concerned tylers bike fall and the little girl crying in the movie theatre are two of my favorite.

dark comedies aren't funny
if you want to see something funny get thirty of your friends drunk, then cram them into individual jalopies and then go joy riding around milwaukee, then to top it off, go and visit the mystical wulloon named Hanz who has a donkey named bloated orange. fuck the hoi poloi

i thought i was the only one who knew that Fight Club is a romantic comedy... a lot of people mistakenly think it's not even meant to be funny, let alone romantic, my mother included, though that's obvious in her case. but i mean it IS a comedy and not such a dark one either... actually i don't see a dark moment in it, except for the lighting in the movie. it's beautiful and utopistic and has a wicked cool sense of humor. just the best movie in every way. and best book in every way.

Fight Club is my idea of heaven. it's a romantic comedy that is nothing like the usual romantic comedy...

...when he's standing outside of the door, trying to see what's going on in the bedroom and Marla is making all those crazy screaming noises and the the door opens real quick and Tyler is standing there bucknekko with those huge rubber gloves on...and says "wanna finish her off?" And she falls off the bed with her legs up in the air...

priceless.
