Book vs movie HELP
Hey all,
Im writing a paper relating a movie to a book and finding the main difference which changed the movie from the book.
However, After reading the book, and just finishing watching the movie again, I need some help.
For me, the main difference was the format of the book, and how it played into the plot and the "series" of events. In the movie, it all clung together better and flowed more, well like a movie.
However my problem is, this difference falls more under a style category and not one which a scene was different or impacted.Im having trouble getting a thesis together using this topic.
Can anyone suggest a better one?Maybe something I missed?
Thanks in advance
Steve
everytime there's a post like this, i feel used even though i'm not contributing. kids these days have it easier with the internet and seemingly limitless resources. anyway. good luck with the paper.
You've given yourself a challege beyond the assignment to use Fight Club since you have 2 main characters in one, as the Narrator has a split personality. But Mricpx is right, focus on the attitude towards Marla towards the end, that's the only distinctive difference I can think of.

Oh yeah thats right, turn up, drop in one post, get your homework done n fuck off to never appear again. Do your own work otherwise anything achieved is worthless.
There are no pacts between lions and men.
in the book, Tyler can fly !
I would like you guys to know that in the time I've been posting here I did in fact do a report over one of Chuck's books and I never asked any of you for help.
Mostly because I don't trust a single one of you.
And I read it.
But mostly the first thing.
I did one on lost a couple of months ago and never asked for any help either, even though I know their is a bunch of people around really into the show.

I hate that thread. It's up to like 350 unread and I kind of want to click it but it'll just keep growing anyway. I can't enjoy that thread so I don't want anyone else to either. Maybe I should just start watching the show or something. But all that work.....

To be perfectly honest, I never read that thread anymore either. I haven't in about 2 weeks. I still love the show, it's just that everyones posts in there are always at least a large paragraph, and I just don't feel like spending hours trying to catch up.

the thread loves you jessica. you just don't know it but we talk about you over there. the island and jacob love you too.
Is Jacob the hot one? I bet he is.
We have no clue what Jacob looks like. He lives in a cabin when Jack's dad isn't there.

Let's attack this n00b for all the other 'help me with my projects' that we remained silent about AHHHH!!!! YOU SUCK!!!!
Just kidding guy, no worries, just that dudes like you are dime a dozen, and occasionally they get lambasted rather than ignored. And sometimes they get helped...sometimes. Hope what's there now is good, at least a start.

Youd have to focus more on his relationship with Marla and the ending to really draw any differences between the two. In the book he's more open with her about his mental illness and she halps him out, while in the movie he just sends her away. The endings are also different as how he ends up in a mental institution in the book, so you could talk about that.
