A kinda sad thing
Fight Club has become a huge cult classic and cultural phenomenon by now, and i hope (along with many people i think) they would include it in the AFI, and i know it has a lot of meanings and interpretation, i always felt that one of the main ones was to take control of your own life instead of just sitting in your couch and seeing TV, In an interview they made Brad Pitt and Edward Norton about fight club they actually say "i always felt it was like that, in society we're too much as spectators, and basically that's the main appeal fight club has, of stopping from being a spectator and being a participator, a creator." (it is kind of badly quoted, and sorry for my shitty english, i'm a little sleep deprived.). yet many of us (with "us" i mean the people in general rather than the cult since, as one user said, people here are quite intelligent to get the message right) altough we quote fight club and call it awesome and all, it's not like we actually use it to really change our lives, many people just say that the fighting is cool and shit, it's not like no one used it to change their lives (chuck often says that some people tell him they changed their lives or finished their colleges thanks to Fight Club), but most of us don't do it, not even me, i think, altough it did helped me to change in certain ways, i feel that i just can't drive myself to change my life (i'm not meaning that i expected the book to change it for me, rather that i can't bring myself to carry on the positive things of the book), i think i just might be projecting it actually, and sorry if i came out as offensive or something, and sorry for the long post.
"It is not reason, more or less furnished, but will that makes the world march"
I am alone.
