Relation?
Stop me if I'm going on an annoying newbie rant. Or if I just plain sound like an idiot. But does anyone else relate to Chuck's books? I mean really relate to them? I haven't read all of Chuck's books yet, only Fight Club, Diary, Invisible Monsters, Rant, and I'm a good chunk into Survivor now. But in every single one I've finished, I've found something that is strangely close to an event that has happened in my life, and some had the answers to problems I'm went through. Especially Diary. One thing that really caught my eye was a quote from the book:
Somebody’s homemade immortality.
Their lasting effect.
Their Life after Death.
In 5th grade, I wrote in all of my school books, and I called it homemade immortality. When my friend decided to join in, I told her to write in pen, so even after she died, she could live in the book.
I know I probably sound a little crazy, a little naive, a little stupid, but I was just wondering if anyone else had that kind of strange...connection.

Mad Daego has got some thread somewhere about how all of Chuck's books are ripped off from his life. Like in a Secret Window kind of way. It's pretty funny
anyways, I think what makes his books so relatable is Chuck uses those little anecdotes that everyone had at some point or other

he pops up every now and then, mostly to say how everyone is boring or whatnot. Which is funny because he never seems to want to add anything to make things more "exciting" or interesting.
I think he posts a lot in that UFC thread
I wanna know where dude got his ink, yo.
As a sex addicted real estate agent with a super-awesome alter-ego who rides around in ready-to-assemble houses looking for my sister whos face was half-blown-off when she went to this weirdo writers retreat to get away from her creepy neighbors who kept telling her to paint shit...I can relate very personally to all Chuck's books.
Oh yeah...er...I also had rabies?

Don't forget your ability to kill people from reciting a poem...
Gawd, I hate when you forget that one...

I have no idea how to reply to that.
Hello and Welcome.
