I'm going to miami, so I need a new book to read on the flight. I came across these two new books (I didn't know Chuck hadn't written anything besides Fight Club) and don't know which one to pick. In your opinions, which is more entertaining?

both rock.  survivor is one of those alltime favs, though.  the book you wont forget.  lullaby was fun as fuck, too.

honestly, if youre not entirely trusting of chuck yet, as in youve read only one or two of his books, i think you'll find survivor  more immediately satisfying, unlike rant and invisible monsters (my fav, that one) in which you have to get to the three-quarter's mark in order to start making sense of the story.

all things considered, i say survivor and as a second choice, you know, starting on him and all, that would be lullaby

Agreed. Of those two, go with Survivor. I loved Rant. I loved Survivor. Plus, the airplane theme of Survivor will play nicely with your airplane ride.

Tough one. I'd say get both, and then decide on a whim which to read. Survivor I might say is better all around, but the last 100 pages or so of Rant are some of the best you'll ever read.

survivor...

"my goldfish was swimming around all excited in its fishbowl so i reached up & dropped a couple valium in the water..."

i love that line...

what the hell, take 'em both...you cant go wrong either way

just dont read survivor out loud or anything stupid like that when you're on the plane or you might end up on the wrong side of a state sponsored enema...but if you're into that sort of thing it could be a fun experiment...

Definitely survivor.  Nothing against Rant, but you have to read that one later.

Survivor...The count backwards of pages alone brought an intensity to the book that i can't remember in any other book i have read
