The Future You Have Today Is Not The Future You Had Yesterday
Favourite Chuck fact
As I'm sure we all know, Chuck has a certain propensity for casually slipping in random facts and information about everyday life into his novels that seem to suggest that absolutely everything has a creepy, evil secret behind it. The little bits of trivia, I call "Chuck facts".
URGENT!! Oral Interpretation piece?
Palahniuk's point of view about Knowledge
In almost each of his book, Palahniuk write about knowledge as a product of consummation.
What do you think that he means? What do you think about it?
US version vs UK version
Does anyone know if UK versions of Chuck's books differ from the American ones? I like the covers of some of the UK versions but I don't want to get them if they're going to read any differently.
Book Tour Info
So this may be a dumb question but I can not wait for the new book! I am so excited and was wondering if anyone knew anything about a book tour for it. Like dates or anything?? At all....please!
Other great books?
Who can tell me any other really good books that arnt far from the same style as Mr. Chuck?
Im running out of his books to read considering that I've gone through like 3 in 2 months. Once I got reading I couldnt stop.
Popular culture references
Hi,
I'm a 1st year journo and my media technology assignment is to build a website based on a famous personality, and I've chosen Chuck.
I was wondering if anyone oculd point me in the direction of some popular culture references to Palahniuk's works. All I've got so far is Panic! At The Disco and Fightstar.
Anything at all would be useful, not only lyrical/musical references.
If you could include a link to where you got your information that'd be great, but if not, no worries, the basic information will at leats point me in the right direction.
Thanks a million,
Kiwi
MORE!!!!
I am famished for more Palahniukesk reading. I know nothing will be like his writing, but I need something similarly fascinating. I've read Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, Survivor, Rant, Haunted, Choke, And I just ordered Diary and Lullaby, so I should be through those soon. So here I'm asking for two things, a comparison of snuff to some of those others, and, more importantly suggestions of authors or books that are equally interesting, addicting, and just plain good. Please describe any suggestions, Your help is very appreciated.
"Guts," and the more disturbing work?
So I was reading up on the internet about Haunted, and laughing myself silly at readind the articles on how people fainted when he read thew first story from the book, "Guts," was mentioned, and in most articles, it was mentioned of another short story by him that was even worse then Guts, that in some places he wasn't even allowed to read. I was perhaps wondering if anybody knew the name of this other, and apparently, "More disturbing," short story, or where I could possibly find it to read it?
Thanks much,
Sierra.
P.S.
I am very new to this forum, so if this is in the wrong section or anybody wants to make fun of my run-on sentences, constructive criticism is always and most definitely fine.
