Try enabling spellcheck. Just might teach you to spell better. And point out mistakes.

“...There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one's head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other people's pain. You ought to have some apprehension that the man you see before you was once even younger than you are now and arrived at his present wretchedness by imperceptible degrees.”

I laughed a lot at this.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

The Last Temptation of Christ - Nikos Kazantzakis
So good.
This is why we can't have nice things.
When I was reading it, I kept thinking: "Wow, this guy writes this story better than any of the Gospels do."

The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened.
one favorite is simple not possible, but I see folks are spilling over so I will too, dammit-
American Psycho, genius genius genius
Requiem for a Dream, gave me sick nightmares, but powerful important ones
Fear & Loathing, because HST rips with the greatest, the richness & momentum makes a strong case for writing under the influence (as much as I hate to admit)
Fight Club, Choke- what is there to say, I'm here in The Cult after all
Catcher in the Rye, matches Fear & Loathing in language & voice, but all Holden...
Bell Jar, how the f**ck is this the first WOMAN on the list?
(I would add Brass, Helen Walsh, soo badass. one of the sexiest books ever read)
And yea, to up the female badasses ante:
Annie Piele's Repeat it Today with Tears- another creepy brave & powerful
Sherry & Narcotics, Nina-Marie Gardner, just finished. hard core, disturbing & freaking divine)
"Have your adventures, make your mistakes, and choose your friends poorly -- all these make for great stories."
Hello, you loved Bell Jar! You're my friend.
My favorite book is anything by Bukowski!
thanks for sharing.blackhawk tactical pants.
— Spambot
"I could have done worse!" exultantly cried the murderer Lebret, sentenced at Rouen to hard labor for life. — Félix Fénéon
Troll!
House of Leaves by MZD
Survivor by Chucky P, (but now I just finished Rant so I'm on the fence with that being my new favorite.)
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen was the first book I really sunk my teeth into as a child, and read multiple times. It's YA but it stuck with me and I feel like I could read that now and still get enjoyment from it.
My favorite novel I have read is Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. I liked Tender Branson as the main character as well as the plot revolving around the aftermath of the cult. Another favorite novel of mine is Less Than Zero written by Bret Easton Ellis. The story followed Clay and his friends in L.A. and I enjoy how Easton Ellis incorporates these characters in future novels.
